I and my sister enjoyed our stay at Regis. Upon arrival, our room was upgraded to standard twin room. The room is quite huge and was cleaned every day. We always get our towel replaced. No sound of elevators and the bed is so comfy. Perfect location for this hotel and you walk to basically any tourist attractions in Sydney.

I stayed at Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour for two nights while on vacation, and it was such a great experience! The check-in was super quick, the staff were really friendly, and the room was clean and comfy. The best part? The location! The hotel is right next to a tram stop, so getting around Sydney was a breeze. It’s also just a short walk to the harbour, and there are plenty of cool cafés nearby with amazing coffee. Overall, I loved my stay at Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour. Totally recommend it!

The location of the hotel is strategic, close to the supermarket, central station, downtown and close enough to opera house sydney. The hotel is clean, the kitchen is always clean, the security of the hotel occupants is assured. It's just that if the bed fit the night, the hotel is a bit noisy because the position of the hotel is above the cafe bar. Between the hours of 9-11 pm usually the music from the cafe bar started very disturbing as it sounded up to our room.

Booked 2 queen beds room. The room is spacious. It came with a microwave, plates, and cutlery. We used all of that. Some reviews mentioned noise, etc. I don't hear any noise. The hotel is very near to all the tourist attractions. Halal restaurants are all nearby. I definitely recommend this hotel for comfort and accessibility.

One of the best place to stay for solo traveller. Located at the rocks area, from circular quay just walk about 10 minutes, or from wynyard need about 7 minutes. I stayed in 220 with bunkbed for 4 people. They have hot and cold water, enough space for luggage. You can buy/bring your own food then cook in the kitchen. The utensils quite complete. Easy check in/out and can go earlier check in like I did.

More about hotels near Sydney Observatory

Is Sydney Observatory (Australia) Worth Visiting?

Sydney Observatory is absolutely worth visiting! Steeped in history and offering breathtaking views of the city skyline and harbour, it's a unique blend of scientific exploration and historical charm. It's known for its fascinating insights into astronomy and its role in Australia's scientific past, making it a popular tourist attraction for those wanting to learn all about the stars.

The Observatory's tourist appeal lies in its ability to connect visitors with the cosmos while grounding them in Sydney's rich heritage. Whether you're a seasoned stargazer or simply curious about the universe, Sydney Observatory offers an engaging and memorable experience.

Opening Hours & Best Time to Visit Sydney Observatory (Australia)

Planning your visit to Sydney Observatory? Knowing the opening hours and the best time to visit will ensure you make the most of your astronomical adventure. Here's a quick guide to help you plan the best time to see the stars and explore this iconic landmark.

  • Opening Hours: Generally, Sydney Observatory offers day and night tours. Day tours typically run from 10am to 5pm, while night tours, which include telescope viewing, usually start after sunset. It's best to check the official Sydney Observatory website for the most up-to-date schedule as times can vary.
  • Best Time to Visit: For daytime visits, any day of the week is suitable, but weekdays tend to be less crowded. For the best time to see the stars, opt for a night tour on a clear, moonless night. Check the lunar calendar to avoid nights with a full moon, as the bright moonlight can obscure fainter celestial objects.
  • Busiest and Least Busy Times: School holidays and weekends are generally the busiest times. If you prefer a quieter experience, aim for a weekday visit, particularly during school terms.
  • Estimated Visit Duration: Allow approximately 2-3 hours for a comprehensive visit, including a tour, time to explore the exhibits, and, if you're visiting at night, telescope viewing.
