I recently stayed at the Waterloo Bay Hotel. The facilities were well-maintained, and I felt very safe, which added a lot of comfort to my stay. The staff stood out for their friendliness and professionalism. My room was well-kept, and clearly cared. It was evident that cleanliness and maintenance are a top priority at this hotel. Parking was a breeze, with ample space and easy access. The location itself was another highlight: conveniently situated close to shops, public transport, and a wide variety of dining options. Whether I wanted a to eat at the hotel or within walking distance. Overall, I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a safe, comfortable, and convenient place to stay with great service and plenty of nearby amenities.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IT IS A NIGHTMARE. we arrived to find the hotel reception locked so tried calling the hotel and found none of the phone options including the managers number was not answering. After waiting for ten minutes a staff member came past promising to find a manager, after another ten monutes i had to go walk through the hotel to find the manager myself including walking through the public bar full of topless barmaids (no warning signage). Found the manager. Given the hotel key i preceeded directly to the room to find a disgusting mould smelland water smell. Even after turning on the aircon and opening the doors we could not get rid of the smell. My partner then went back to try to find the manager (having to walk into the topless barmaid environment to find them). The manager came out and agreed that the room smelt of mould and understood our decision. We cancelled on the spot without occuping the room and asked for a refund to just be refused and told i would have to ring on the Monday. So we left had to rush to find alternative accomodation at more expense, why would i do this if it was satisfactory? Followed them up on the Monday, took four phone calls to get someone on the phone to be told they would investigate and follow up me with a return phone call by 4pm. Of course no return phone call, so i called back again on the tuesday to be told the manager would call me back as he was refusing a refund. Do not stay here it is disgusting customer service.

Enjoyed my stay, friendly staff. Although a big downside, music there was playing during the early night at a decent level, then abruptly was turned up at around 12am super loud on full blast that my room windows and doors were rattling and shaking with the over the top bass until 2:30 am. While it sounded like people constantly picking and skipping songs until they found one's they wanted to hear and blasted it on full blast!!! The music level went from an average sound level to rediculous full blast that shook my entire room for hours and hours!!!!! Who turns music up full blast at 12am when it was playing on decent level for the entire evening before 12am, especially when you have hotel guests that have paid good money for accommodation!! My Room was $400 a night and we didn't get much sleep at all. Would have given a 5 Star rating until that happened at midnight!! 😑

On entering room , it smelt pretty bad which is unfortunate because there really is nowhere to go or hide from a bad smell. I think it may have been the drains but everything else seemed to be ok. Definitely would look elsewhere first
