Campanile Vienna South

Excellent clean hotel. Location is too far from centre, you have to get the tram daily. McDonalds nearby, Billa (supermarket) also walking distance - a bonus!

Good value. There's no frills but the room was clean, everything worked and the breakfast is an added bonus. Close to transport links (buses) which are frequent.

The reception staff were quite rude. We were four friends and had booked two rooms. At first, we were given two rooms on the same floor, but they smelled strongly of weed, so my friend asked if we could change them. They moved us to another floor and gave us rooms next to each other, but one of them hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. We went back to request another change, but the receptionist responded that they weren’t obliged to accommodate us and even remarked that we weren’t children to be needing rooms on the same floor. We didn’t mind being on different floors, but the customer service was unacceptable.

Great room & facilities. Staff good. Really relaxed modern place. Perfect for a short visit & very clean. Shower ver good. Tram 5min walk away into Vienna. Superb city with great light show at the Votive Church. Hop on/off bus brilliant if only there for a few days, as is the day tour to the Alps, Hallstart & Salzburg. Fully immerged into Austria 🇦🇹

Some staff are great help and a few we have met with are really far from hospitality not friendly and not helpful at all , Breakfast was a pretty poor selection and if come late there’s hardly much option.

Clean room, good location.

I've stayed at Campanile hotels a couple times and it's one of the better budget hotels. It's clean and the beds are very comfortable. Multiple shops and restaurants close by. There's no frills though. Not even a mini fridge, the room is small but I sleep like a baby here.

If I could give the rating in minus for staff, service and comfort, I would have given that. We booked a room for 2 adults and one 9 yr old child and we had one normal sized double bed in the room only. when we asked why theres no extra bed or seating for a child, their excuse was that only you have a problem, all the other children until the age of 12 sleeps with their parents in their bed. Made us feel that we surely don't belong to this world. All they could offer was a free cancellation at midnight when we had checked in. There were no kettle/tea, locker or intercom in the room. The staff were not helpful at all and in breakfast when we asked if there were any alternatives for milk due to allergies, the manager told us that in €14 breakfast you can't get almond milk, this was so humiliating. It wasn't us who decided on the charges for their breakfast, we paid what was on the website. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!!

Do not book this hotel if you are expecting to have A/C in your room. This hotel is listed on Hotels.com as having A/C; however, we went in August and the room would not cool down. (Even a staff member came to our room and noticed how hot it was.) After talking with hotel staff about the issue and that we were promised a working A/C, we were basically told that the A/C units for the hotel rooms do not work when the air outside is colder than it is inside. So, our room that was hot and stuffy could not be cooled down except for cracking open a window (which brought in street noice, ruined any room privacy and added undesired light from having to have the drapes open to let the air in). In fact, we were told by hotel staff not to use the “AC” unit in the room or it would actually heat up the room. The hotel would have otherwise been fine (breakfast was good and area was ok) except for the fact that it had no A/C and was too hot to sleep until it finally cooled down (with the window open and A/C unit off) at about 1 AM. So, if you are staying in Vienna during the summer, I definitely suggest you book elsewhere.

Nothing much to say. It was cheap and good. How it should be! Was a good stay there.

Reception staff were accomodating, no problems communicating in english. room was clean, bath had hot and cold shower, hair dryer. no kettle, no refrigerator. Wifi a little slow at times. Usb and plug in ports for charging. Good place to stay if you don't mind a short walk to the public transport stops.
