Hotel Am Schubertring

Location was very central to everything. Hotel looked a little tired. Breakfast was just ok. Staff were friendly and helpful. Air conditioning was good and bed was comfortable. We had a fine stay there but I think I would try a different hotel next time.

The staff were very nice and the location was perfect for sight seeing and great restaurants. However, the room was not entirely clean. There was a wasp in our room upon arrival, and under the sheets the mattress was quite dirty with hair and stains.

Hotel is in a great location and is walking distance to shops and places to visit. Our room was cleaned everyday. Air conditioning is an older model and was confusing to operate but got there in the end. Staff at the reception were very friendly and so was the housekeeper. Breakfast menu is continental with selection of pastries, breads, fruits, cereal, yogurt along with coffee and fruit juice. Unique experience was with the breakfast attendant who was insistent that our package did not include breakfast although I explained it did. She said we had to pay €24 each for our family. I just said OK as other guests started to look at us with a thought that I’d settle this with hotel staff afterwards. Interestingly as I was getting food she had asked me to sign the bill/voucher for our breakfast (can’t this wait atleast after we eat?). This bothered me and double checked on my phone that what we paid for in this hotel included the breakfast buffet which it did. As Austria is the 5th country in our itinerary in our Europe trip, we have a listing of the amenities we have in all the hotels we booked including all receipts. I went back to show the payment receipt to clarify with the breakfast attendant who unfortunately was not interested. Right after we ate, I spoke to hotel staff at the reception who confirmed that our stay is inclusive of breakfast. She also apologised about the issue regarding the breakfast. Overall, our stay in this hotel was pleasant.

The hallways were very old & dirty. Our room was very old with dirty carpet. No coffee maker nor coffee in the room. Bathroom was good. Staff was just okay.

Excellent & friendly staff. Only issue was that the Expedia description stated they had Laundry services and they do not. We were directed to the local laundry mat (which took time away from my sightseeing), otherwise everything was wonderful.

Friendly staff, easy to find, old fashioned hotel in an old building. Central location made it good value for money for festive season. Walking distance (flat) to main streets and Christmas Markets, good connections for transport nearby. Warm rooms, in a quite cold time of the year (December) was a plus. 4px room is very basic. The sofa bed when used as a bed blocked the wardrobe and made it inaccessible. We did not choose breakfast as we found it overpriced at 20Euro per person, many cafes in the area as an alternative as it is centrally located. I would recommend for a low(er) budget in a central location.

Excellent location and a very peaceful atmosphere. The room was warm and cozy, which was perfect for a winter visit. The bed was comfortable, the shower always had hot water, and the room was cleaned daily. A big thanks to the friendly staff for making our stay so pleasant. It was quiet and never felt overcrowded—definitely a great choice for a stay in Vienna!

The bathroom is a disaster- shower size is that of a state room on a cruise ship. Very dated. This hotel should only get a high rating bc of the area and the staff are nice. Needs major update!
