The check in procedure takes more than 40 mins. At the beginning , the front desk said that he cannot find my reservation and ask me wait until he at last find my reservation. Otherwise, the hotel is excellent!

The room was larger than average with a great bathroom. A/C kept the room comfortable. We loved the breakfasts, which did change a little each day. The TV did not have any viable channels though. We did not have a room with a view, but also did not find morning sunshine to keep us from sleeping in. The staff were all friendly, helpful and concerned that our stay was going well. Also, their tip that seniors above 65 yo ride public transit for free was very helpful. This was a tremendous location. Some of the best restaurants and shopping were all within walking distance as was the main history museum. Many different cuisines to choose from as well.

The hotel was ok for the price around the center of Sofia. The staff was helpful when asked questions. The only problem I had was leaving my laptop at the reception safe. Was told I can pick it up any time before 10pm. I went to get it at 9pm and the receptionist was on 5 min brake that stretched to 30min. The security guard felt bad for me and actually had to go fetch the receptionist from the nearby store. Almost missed my train because of it.

Tiny room with all the basics,(soap, shampoo, towels), and a tiny elevator that works well. Balcony room on 5th floor was fantastic for the price, despite a bed that is, let's say "thin and firm," and one pillow that's, let's say "adequate." Always someone at the desk, and they have a small fridge if you want to buy water, soda, or a can of Bulgarian beer. Whole thing is like stepping back to 1974, but to me it was an unbeatable part of the uniqueness of the place. Full pressure quick hot water, and the cafe has a decent espresso in the morning for 2 lev. Right in the center of everything. For what you get the price is outstanding.

No one speaks English. They even made me pay twice (I paid online and then had to pay again because the reception had a problem with their system). Otherwise, the hotel is fine and a good price for its location
