Remisens Hotel Epidaurus

So we arrived at 12 and waited till 3 to get a room, however, when checked in, the phone didn’t work. Phone, remote control, door handles, light switches all really dirty. I walked down to reception and asked for phone to work - we stayed there (room 433) 3 nights… no one came to fix it. The cleaner came up but literally used a dirty cloth to clean the remote, remained filthy… overall if you’re looking for a tiny shower (just like Ibis) then this is suitable. It’s not really a 3 star. But it is in good location from airport (10 mins drive) and a 30 mins drive Into old town. Best to rent a car, roads are great. Otherwise, staff are polite, service is good.

Lots of food choices, we mainly had lunch and evening meals, cuts of meat were cheap cuts, fish was generally overcooked & dried out, best bit was the ice cream, drinks were dyer, how u get a pina colda & a mojito out of a the same soda gun is beyond me, but the taste was true testament to that, they were awful and un drinkable, as were spirits, the only thing that was just about palatable was the white wine!! They advertise a “gym” which was a joke, 2 mats on the floor, ripped up pieces of resistance bands, the heaviest weight was 2.5kg, and the stair stepper didn’t even have any power to it, on the whole this hotel didn’t cost a lot, so I guess u get what you paid for!!

Short stay 2 days. Nice resort.

I was not happy that there is no elevator to access the higher floors. The elevator only goes to the second floor. So we had to carry our luggage up to the 5th floor

Tired buildings

Amazing area with beautiful views, close to the center (40m distance from Dubrovnik city), great breakfast, very nice room with balcony with sea view, good shower, toiletries and fridge. The staff was very friendly and professional especially Tom in reception. On the other hand the coffee wasn't great, on our balcony there wasn't much privacy duo to the lack of a barrier on one side and the bed could be a bit more comfortable. But overall a great experience.

Due to travel changes we had two nights. The first was un planned but all was great. The second night was planned and upgraded to a sea side room. The only problem, but a big one to us, was that the room was heavily smoked in. I reported this to the hotel and they promised to spray the room with freshener. And air it out. Hours later we returned to nothing happening, still smokey. It has been decades since i have endured smoke in a room, as we are nonsmokers.

Unfortunately I found the hotel to be quite tired in appearance. The pools are small and dated. The pool bar and kids club area is also unattractive and needs serious updating. The outside of blocks D and E especially at ground floor level is empty and unloved. However the worst part of the hotel is the dining experience. The restaurant actually looks ok but the quality of food is markedly poor and the variety of food is also disappointing. Long queues form for the one or two appetising choices at each sitting (pancakes at breakfast or pizza at lunch and dinner). Other options look congealed, soggy and overcooked. Pasta is particularly inspiring and vegetables are shirvelled and lifeless. Drinks are also poor. Juices and colas are frankly foul mixes with carbonated water. Beer and wine are undrinkable as is the coffee. The lounge bar has zero atmosphere and nothing yo offer to keep people in the hotel in the evening. It's such a shame as the area is beautiful and it's a great location. We ended up going out to eat a couple of times at least as Cavtat and the bars and restaurants there were far more appealing. We'll be back to Cavtat but will give this hotel a miss.

We are an older couple and having room on 4th floor (actually level 5 above ground) with no elevator was not fun at all. Breakfast open buffet was included but the cook has no clue how to make scrambled eggs. They were actualy burned and lacked fluffness. Terrible. Orange juice didn’t tast like it originated from fresh oranges. Reminded me of tasting Soviet style juices made of coloring, sugar and water.

Dirty hotel, rust in the windows, smells bad, spiders in the ceiling and mold in the room. I will not recommend. Bad experience.

Hard to find parking. In room safe did not work which we reported with no response. Breakfast was just okay. NO black tea was available. Had no access to a computer to check in for our flight home!!

Location by the Beach great. The bartender at the reception bare very good and friendly. The cleanness it terrible, table full of cops and glasses underneath and around the beach chair and tables chewing gum cigarette butts ect. The food overall horrible. Will I book again never.

Rooms were dirty AND had a Weird smell Food was ALL inclusive AND not too Many choices drinks and ice creams are self served kids were spilling juice and ice cream on the floor which attracted bees.pool and everything is old fashioned smelly never again will stay there

Very meh, especially for the price. The room was oppressively small, and cigarette smoke smell leaked into it from the corridor. The air-con does not go below 70°--we asked for them to fix this and they said this was hotel-wide. The hallway smelled like fish, and there were constantly used dishes from other rooms just sitting on a table in the hallway. Part of the hallway ceiling had developed a leak and huge chunks of paint had fallen. They put an old blanket on the floor to catch pieces, and a caution sign next to it, and just left it like that. Also, there were screaming children everywhere, and both pools were constantly full of them. Plus, there is some "teen club" on the property that played dance musice really loudly until about 11 each night. Super obnoxious. Nice shower, good wifi, and comfy bed, though.

Beautiful area. Hotel pool and beach very good.

We had no idea this was an all inclusive hotel. So for a one night before a flight it is a bit hard to use to get a meal or a drink. Should be stated on the advertisement

The view was good. The room was very small and depressing looking. Only had 1 towel for 2 people. The beach had big peebles, tough on the feet. The worst beach in the Dubrovnik area. The best beaches in the Dubrovnik area are at the Sheraton hotel or on Lopud island

Great hotel for the price. The only downside is the food, I wouldn’t do all inclusive again. The food was repetitive, under/over cooked and bland. The drinks were also quite basic and only non branded alcohol which tasted very different. The staff were great and my room was a good size though some might argue it is quite dated. They could invest more into the pool area as well. The local area is fine the town is a 20 minute walk and the hotel is surrounded by other hotels and restaurants by the water. I would stay here again.
