King Evelthon Beach Hotel & Resort

Stunning location, lovely Reception and balcony with view. Lovely pool, good gym. Lovely promenade and sea access. Nice room, slightly small. Misses a few key 5 * points - ordered a drink on arrival…once poured asked to pay as all inclusive check-in was 10 minutes later. Very strange. No pool towels distributed after 5pm - no discussion. Food distinctly average, white wine was terrible.

This holiday was an extra one for us so we didn’t research much about the hotel/surrounding area. We also travelled out of season in April so A La Carte restaurants were closed and the outdoor pool was very cold! Our room was spacious, clean and easy to access on level 1. Took a while each day for house keeping to clean our room (sometimes 5pm) so not always easy to go back to the room to relax in the afternoon if it wasn’t done. Buffet style food everyday, although fresh and nicely presented (especially the salads), did get a bit samey. The walks along the seafront were easy and flat and the bar area by the outdoor pool was kept clean, Natasha one of the bar staff always had a smile for you and very accommodating. Likewise the waiting staff in the restaurant, very friendly and helpful. There was an incident in the outdoor pool and if it wasn’t for a guest member (nurse), there would have been a fatality. No medical equipment (defribulator, oxygen etc) was visible and the lifeguards were not paying attention to the pool, therefore, took ages to respond. The manager Anthony did take the incident seriously and hopefully will now take steps to better train lifeguards and position them for better viewing of the pool (not on the bridge and no mobile phones) It will not stop us from returning or recommending to family and friends. However, we will be highlighting not to rely on other people for safety around any pools.

Room was very clean , Loved the violinist Would definitely stay here again.

Had an enjoyable time at King Evelthon. The only downside were the reception staff who were not at all helpful. Everything else was really good.

Great hotel for the price we paid — and that’s the key point - it isn't worth over the top pricing, but a deal if you can find it. Everything was well maintained and finished to a good standard. It’s not a 5-star experience where everything goes above and beyond, but everything is clean, functional, and the food is good. There’s just no real “wow” factor. The room was very clean, with a few minor signs of wear and tear. The standout feature of the hotel is definitely the pool and the balcony overlooking the sea — that’s where you get the best experience. The staff were friendly, and parking was easy and convenient with lots of spaces.

Beach view from balcony was good . Good selection of food in restaurant at all times . In upper hallway / landing areas of central part very bland . Although carpet fitted needs something like scattered chairs , sofas and pot plants to break area up . Overall though very satisfied even though weather very changeable .

Outstanding in every way! Great location. Best gym I've seen in a long time. Food was superb and staff was lovely. Lots of space to enjoy some privacy. View was superb!

I recently stayed at the King Evelthon Beach Hotel in Cyprus. While there were several highlights that made the trip enjoyable, there were a few areas—specifically the spa and beverage quality—that didn't quite hit the mark for a resort of this scale. The Highlights: Service & Scenery * Arrival & Reception: First impressions were fantastic. The reception area is beautiful, bright, and open. The staff there are incredibly knowledgeable and eager to help, making the check-in process seamless. * The Room: We had a great room with a stunning view. It was a pleasure waking up to the scenery every morning. * Housekeeping: A huge shout-out to the cleaning staff! They were amazing—always friendly, and the room was kept impeccably clean and tidy throughout our entire stay. * The Food: Considering the challenge of catering to so many different nationalities, the food was actually amazing. There was a great variety and the quality was consistently high. The Lowlights: Maintenance & Drinks * The Spa (Needs Urgent Work): This was the biggest disappointment. The equipment only worked intermittently, and the maintenance was poor—hooks literally broke the moment we tried to hang clothes on them. Most concerningly, the covers on the beds in the resting area didn't look like they had been changed all week. It was just ok, a bit outdated

We made a complaint and checked out early. While sat having evening meal in the restaurant a cockroach appeared and climbed over the table cloth. This was not the first incident, in the same restaurant the night before we saw a cockroach on the floor scurrying around before being stepped on by the waiter. This as well as seeing one in the bedroom bathroom was enough for us to leave. We felt we were unable to stay and eat in that hotel. Being with a 9 month old baby, we wanted a relaxing break. Instead we got stress and anxiety. When we mentioned to reception that we were checking out earlier for the above reasons. Their response was "Ok, bye". No mention of a sorry. The hotel is rated as 5 stars, I have stated in far better 2 stars.

We had a wonderful stay: Food: Breakfast - brilliant, omelette station, grill stations, huge selection of foods. Each night the selection was different. The greek style salads were great! Bedroom: We had a balcony room, with a view. Bath in the room, large bed, aircon worked fine. Carpark: We hired a car, there was loads of space in the carpark. Drinks: All inclusive cocktails, there were over 20 in total! Gym: Decent gym! Loads of sunbeds, all in all a great trip! Having perfect weather helps too though!

Drinks not included in half board dinner. Staff kept staring at us while getting lunch when there was no one to tell that we wanted to trade dinner for lunch, more pork options than for bone pork eaters.

Overall it was a good hotel. Room was clean, staff were friendly, food was good, evening entertainment could have been a bit better but might have been that time of year. No fighting for sunbeds.

It was just perfect for us and we can’t complain, We are trying to get our next year holiday booked. The room was very clean and the staff are just lovely and polite. Always ready to assist with a smile. The Spa and pool facilities were excellent.

While we had a lovely holiday the maid service was poor, out of the 6 days we were there 2 days the room was not cleaned, 1 day we had to go to reception to ask for it to be cleaned and on 1 day it was cleaned the cups and glasses were not washed. In the restaurant in the evening the tables are all set with linen table clothes, runners and napkins for the start of service at 18.30 great if you want to eat that early, if you don't and we didn't and you go in later the tables are not reset with linen and all you get if your lucky is a paper napkin. very disappointed.

Wifi coverage was not resort wide as advertised. Was missing altogether around the outside pool.

Not taken into account request for twin bed and cockroach in bedroom. However we were then moved really helpful porter. Entertainment staff were great really attentive. Food was great choice and really good, drinks not so much. Pool great and outdoor area lovely
