Occidental Punta Cana - All Inclusive

Staff were friendly, helpful and all around made the stay very pleasant. Will definitely stay there again and make this a destination vacation spot.

Room had a problem with AC

Didn’t like the food

Amenities have been reduced. No bath scale, no umbrella, no room fruit plate, no newspaper. Basically no surprise delights like turn down at night

My second time here and the people are always welcoming and helpful! Very safe and clean!

It was good

We loved the beaches , hotel room was nice! AC went out one day and they fixed it right away and it was good for the rest of the trip. I would say buffet was a 7/10 not bad and decent restaurant meals! We would defiantly go back :)

Enjoyed being close to the beach

Sometimes had to wait long periods of time for service, but overall for the price it was worth it.

I have been to Punta Cana almost every summer of my childhood and it has changed a lot. Many rude staff members ignoring me. I had to leave 2 days earlier because of this.

We enjoyed the entire property, from its well maintained green areas to food and mostly hospitality. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. The pizza and tacos crew, to the restaurants staff. A BIG shoutout for Joceline Ortiz Medina & William Altagracia. Joceline went above & beyond the line! She was very hospitable, attentive and provided us with an outstanding service and always with a smile and such a wonderful attitude! William gave us an amazing service, he would give us every drink from cup of water to a beer with a smile, positive attitude and “es un placer”!! Thank you so much to all the people working (behind the scenes; cooks, dishwashers, etc. )gardeners, waitresses, towels crew, pool crew etc…that made our trip a wonderful experience!!! We now want to go back and will def go back!!!! Than YOU!

The food was awful

Loved my stay! Although it was very difficult to communicate with most of the staff as no one really understands English or they would ignore you to pay attention to their coworkers instead of the guests. Otherwise it was a beautiful place, good food. Just wish the service was better

This place was nice but pool close at 7 that’s wack and they need to do the pool party on other days then Saturday and promote the beach parties and club more

Nice property.

We got massages on the beach but whoever designed this resort was NOT thinking clearly. Who puts a playground and trampoline right up against an area where they are giving massage treatments. It’s an uncomfortable feeling knowing that you don’t have much clothing on and kids are right there watching. It was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. If we had known that I would have never gotten it done outside

Great

The good: Everything appeared clean. The pools were nice the ocean and beach were fantastic. The main two royal area bartenders were fantastic but the substitutes that came to relieve them a few times a day not so much. The royal suite we had was large, clean, had a great balcony with a nice soaking tub on it The bad: Most food here is terrible! Nearly inedible even in the marginally better Royal dining and a al carte restaurants. The beach vendors in the main area will absolutely annoy you to death. Do not come here for any sort of relaxation. At least they keep them out of the majority of the royal area for the most part, but if you’re in between the palm trees and the water you will be constantly targeted in the royal area as well. The cigar vendors are constantly pushing fake Cuban cigars on unsuspecting tourists. If you’re going to buy cigars make sure you know what their actual worth is and how to spot fakes. We booked a royal suite for three; there was no door between the bedroom and living area (where my child slept). Getting extra towels was a hassle. It took three separate calls to get someone to get our bags and I eventually just carried them down the stairs myself and was beginning to march them to the front of the resort when someone from the royal office made some angry calls to get a porter to help us. The verdict Would I return, no shot. I go on vacation to eat well, relax in the sun, drink fancy beach drinks and spend time with family and friends.
