Hotel is tired and despite the friendliest staff and the bedroom being quite nice and was clean theres only so much you can clearly do as a cleaner when the bathroom was so old and in need of refurbishing. I dont want to bash the hotel as the staff were lovely but the bathroom definitely needs some love.

Watch out for the potholes on entering the carpark. 3 night stay with breakfast: The first room and bedding stunk of smoke so after an unpleasant night I asked to change rooms. Reception sorted the room change with no bother. Second room was fine apart from guests in the adjoining room smoking drugs which absolutely stank the corridoor out and came through the adjoining door making my room stink as well.... all rooms are meant to be non-smoking. Clean rooms and a good, freshly cooked breakfast, with a choice of cerial, fruit, toast, and pastries also available. Friendly and helpful chef and reception staff. The hotel itself was fine, clean, no-frills, and spoiled only by the inconsidereate behaviour of other guests.

This brand of hotel gets a terrible name, but I can’t complain about this venue. I paid £33 for an overnight on route to airport, was more than adequate and very affordable. Only small gripe was no interaction with staff on checkout but did appear busy. No issues whatsoever and book again.

I didn’t find anything exceptional about this hotel. Room was standard had to ask for extra pillows as you only get one per per person. Tea and coffee facilities in the room as standard. Bathroom had no shower gel or hand soap in the one time I didn’t take any as thought hotel would have some! We never ate there so can’t comment on the food. They are dog friendly so was grateful we could take the dog.

Check in was ridiculous, the guy was being awkward on purpose, mentioned him to others that have stayed here and straight away they all knew who I was talking about as he was the same with all of them when they stayed here too. Stayed in many britannia’s, didn’t expect much but this was filthy even the bedroom walls were covered in dust, bed was extremely uncomfortable even got two bed bug bites. Hairs on bed too. I’ll stick to other Britannia’s but never this one ever again.
