Water pressure was very poor, otherwise a very convenient and economical overnight stop.

At 21:30 I had just settled my 3 and 8 year old when all of a sudden we heard violent, frantic banging on the door. Before I could answer, two people let themselves in without identifying themselves. It took a couple of minutes for them to reveal they were members of staff investigating a leak despite me asking “who are you?” and on the assumption of them being staff, me saying “this is not okay” and “my children are in here”. Both staff members eventually apologised but I just had to share this as it is totally unacceptable. When I tried to call to ask if they were coming back, nobody answered. When I complained I was told by the receptionist they would pass my concern along. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this is the only time I have ever taken time to complain - anyone reading this should bare this in mind. My 8 year old is traumatised. I am extremely upset. On rare occasions staff need to access rooms, but you don’t do this by banging on a door, forcing your way in without identifying yourself or explaining before entering. I strongly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay without wanting the “home intruder forced entry” experience look elsewhere.

No air conditioning. Very little water came out of the shower. Water temperature was not good

worst experience ever. We had to cancel when arrived as they did not have the rooms available we had booked. Never going back

Good value for money hotel for 2 night stay whilst attending British Open. Everything we needed. It could have been better if the bar stocked a range of snacks.

A really dated hotel. Pillows rock hard, very hot room and a pathetic shower. Parking wasn’t easy as I would not want to park around the back of the hotel as it didn’t feel safe. Never again. Having said that it was only £54 per night so could expect too much more I guess.

Car park gets full quickly, random people sitting around the car park. Cars parked in unmarked bats making it hard to drive around.

Great budget hotel decent food at evening meal and breakfast Had problem with License so unable to get a alcohol drink but I expect that will be resolved

Room had to be changed 3 times due to bathroom not clean and water pressure so Low ,3rd given and the bathroom had no toiletries. When question at the reception why the toiletries not been filled staff couldn’t give me an answer. I ask them to fill but said no! Another staff approached me and got involved with the conversation and told me to go to shop and buy 1 … Maya I believe this was her name was so rude and kept on laughing in my face! I feel so angry that I had to walk away as no manager was available to speak to

Location was good for us, close to family.

Room and front desk staff fine. Nobody ate in restaurant. Found out why. Chef is a nightmare. Miserable sob, service with a snarl. Made a huge fuss of cleaning the whole floor grumbling about the mess id made by a couple of drops spilt from my tea as I carried it. Rude doesn't even cover it. Why any company would employ such a miserable unpleasant man is beyond me.

On entrance to the hotel it was beautiful, welcoming airy feel with a nice bar/restaurant. However check in was a nightmare and we had to wait 10 minutes, once you leave the main atrium and walk through to go to your room the hotel is outdated, poorly maintained and the lift scared the life out of you. We stayed on one of the hottest days of the year, and the housekeeping had window shut & no fan. It was a wall of heat. We didnt sleep for even an hour the whole night. The bathroom was awful, you pulled the flush and the whole top unit moved, the bath/shower was something from the 1950s. Staff very unfriendly. Ok for a desperate measure but for max of 1 night only.

Clean room comfortable good parking

wouldn't stay again. room was untidy with wet towels and not well maintained. The hotel bar didn't open at all while we were there even though we kept getting told it would open.

Pool was broke saff was rude would like my money back

Overall the hotel was nice and clean, room was clean. The downfall was the bed, my god it was so uncomfortable the mattress was so thin I may aswell of slept on the floor luckily my room had a single bed too, so I slept on top of the double bed to try and make it a bit more comfortable for myself and used the single beds duvet. It wasn't the greatest of nights.

Room was clean friendly staff. Not much to do in area but was cheap and cheerful. Breakfast was not the greatest, bread was hard so was unable to make toast. Personally I would not visit here again.
