Corus Hyde Park Hotel

A decent accommodation for the price although some cleaning, specifically air vent grills, could use some attention. The bathroom is not particularly nice but this seems to be the standard in these older London hotels/ buildings. The TV also was not too great and only played music stations and a few select old shows. Staff was always great and it is located very close to Lancaster Gate and Paddington is not too far so getting around on the tube was easy from here. Hyde park is close by for having a nice walk about with the family. Would stay again since the tested were reasonable.

The hotel is in a great location and very reasonably priced but it is an old hotel with terrible carpet and needs some painting , but that can be overlooked for the 0ther positives. A great front desk staff , a decent breakfast and great location. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

Great location, virtually next to a station of the central line, and just a 10min walk from a circle line station. Started each morning with a full english breakfast at the hotel and then went off across the street, into hyde park to walk (by choice) to our target-site visit of the day. The hotel staff was super friendly, accommodating, and they prepared a nice, personalized welcome for my wife's birthday (card,with a nice message, chocolate, balloons, etc.). They helped her feel all the more special and added to the london-visit experience in the most positive way!

Room too small than shown in the pictures on the website. Marks on the wall. There was an insect mark with old blood stain not cleaned and was dry right next to the bed. We had to wipe it cause it looked off to sleep next to. Bathrooms were tiny but okay for the price paid. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful.

I really did enjoy my stay at the Corus Hyde Park. The staff were all very helpful, professional and courteous. I only had breakfast and there was plenty of choice and something for everyone. The hotel is central with great transport links on its doorstep. However, I had a twin room and, although it was clean and comfortable, it was in desperate need of updating and decorating. That was my only issue and I would return to the hotel. It was, overall, value for money

Walking distance to tube and Hyde Park and really quiet room.

The breakfast was not very good. Little choice and awful looking scrambled eggs. I have stayed at this hotel for 35 years and it has had lovely breakfasts in the past

All members of staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. I would definitely come back to stay again. Location is good with a mouds of transport. Very happy stay.

The check-in process is smooth. We arrived earlier so we got our luggage stored by a young man. When we tried to get our luggage back, the yang man wasn't there so the gentlemen in his 40 to 50 year old from the reception desk came over to help but he handled my wife's luggage rudely. Instead of bringing the luggage to front of my wife, he pushed the luggage forward from 6 feet away As a result, my wife's luggage with her back pad on top of it felt down heavily. He said sorry for that. Late my wife found out one of her souvenir in her back pad broken. When taking shower, there isn't mechanism to lift off the draining cap at room 371. At 11 pm, when I try to boil some water and found out the coffee cattle isn't work, I reported this issue next morning when I checked out. The staffs are generally kind and polite, and the cleaning of the room is acceptable. The location is good to access Hyde Park.

I would like to share my recent experience during my stay at Corus Hotel Hyde Park, which, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations or the standards one would expect from a hotel of this rating. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that there was no porter service available. I had to repeatedly ask—and even plead—for help with carrying my luggage to the room. This was very disappointing and not what I would expect from a hotel of this category. Once I entered the room, I found it to be unclean, with visible cobwebs in different areas. I documented this with photos. I reported the issue to the reception, and one of the staff came with me to inspect the room. Frankly, it felt as though I was being questioned or treated as if I were not telling the truth, which I found upsetting and unprofessional. I was moved to another room, but the air conditioning was not working there either. When I raised the issue with the receptionist, she was very rude, raised her voice, and kept interrupting me while I was trying to explain the situation. Her attitude was unacceptable and lacked basic courtesy and professionalism. Later, during the night shift around 5:00 AM, I called the reception again and spoke with a different staff member, who was much more polite and helpful. He moved me to another room where the air conditioning was finally working properly — something I expected from the beginning.

Location good for Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate tube station. Rooms extremely small, business room booked and bathroom was tiny. Breakfast not great, very basis and budget food. Hotel needs updating and modernising. Staff friendly and helpful

Perfect location for hyde park events. 10min walk from Paddington station. 2 min walk to Lancaster gate tube station. 2 min walk to a hyde park entrance. Breakfast good. Luggage store. Friendly staff. Room fine for how much we paid.

Friendly helpful staff, comfortable and clean room, bed not so comfortable - a bit too soft felt like an old mattress with a topper, excellent location for Hyde park events and city attractions, good value for money.

Was good, but room tired and could hear other guests easily, but not too noisy.
