Furzedown Hotel

Loved our stay. The people who run the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. We arrived early and were able to use the car park and check in as our room was ready. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfy with lovely sea view. Breakfast was great. Good choice and all cooked fresh. Was our second visit and we would definitely return :)

Lovely hotel, but bathroom needs updating.

Very clean, tidy and professionally run hotel. Amazing breakfast

I booked as it has good reviews only to find the single room was literally only big enough for the bed and a side table. The ensuite had you sat on the toilet and legs under the sink which was close enough to rest your head on! The frosted window made the room feel smaller and opening the window wasnt really an option unless you like the sound of the kitchen extractors and the possibility of someone climbing through your window due to the stairs out the back. The car parking was a nightmare to get into and no wonder they say park at your own risk. The on site restaurant had fish and chips for nearly 20 quid. I checked in ans checked out within an hour as could not bare to stay in such a cramped room.

This is a fantastic hotel, with friendly staff and a superb menu. Some great views also, and really convenient for business or leisure visitors - would highly recommend - a real gem of a place!

Very friendly family run hotel.

This hotel is amazing, it is family owned and everyone, all staff were so friendly. We stayed in the family room it was lovely decorated and very clean and all the little extras thought about. Even a children’s toilet seat on the toilet if needed, a bath mat and an anti slip mat. Toiletries, lovely soft WHITE towels. The breakfast was so lovely. We had children with us who were fussy, so they said they could have any items they wanted on the menu individually ( not many places do this! It’s the menu and that’s that)! What a lovely hotel and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Wonderful accommodation, lovely view from room, excellent food and very helpful and professional staff.

Old place. Rooms on different levels with stairs only. Not ideal for limited mobility conditions. Room was okay but mattresses were lumpy & very uncomfortable. Breakfast was superb with excellent service. Access to car park at rear of the property can be challenging for big cars.

Lovely hotel right on the seafront,staff very friendly and helpful, my only problem was the bed was very creaky, headboard was very loose not a criticism as bed was very comfortable

I use hotels at least once a month for at least the last 8 months (& will be doing for the foreseeable future plus use hotels for holidays. I would highly recommend this hotel, for location, comfort, cleanliness, decoration, furniture, welcome and superb breakfast, the evening meal looked very appealing and a varied menu but as I’d already eaten did not have the evening meal. Definitely book this hotel again

Loved the room , staff lovely , breakfast amazing . Only down side was being woken at 5.30am by a child running around in the room above us . But not the hotels fault .

Good, comfortable, great value, good food and lively even though out of season. Suffers the standard British hotel disease of curtains that don't keep out the lights at night (I bring a blindfold). And I don't award eco friendly stars because I have no idea what happens behind the scenes. So long as water goes down the sink & WC without leaking into the kitchen how the hotel manages its statutory duties is up to them. Definitely recommended.

Rooms were freezing cold!

Expedia is a company that i strongly recommend you DO NOT USE. It's without doubt the worst business experience ive had in 72years of life.
