Breakfast option was poor. There was no hot water in the shower but boiling hot water only from the tap?! I couldn’t take a shower. The road noise was so loud that I couldn’t sleep. Really not happy with my stay here and would expect a refund for the above

The hotel is located a good 20 minute walk from the Kensington Olympia, so great for those attending conventions there who are looking for a well-priced place to stay if they are travelling from out of London since train prices can skyrocket quickly if attending multiple days in a row. Across Cromwell Road and to the right is Earl's Court Road which had a good variety of places to eat of an evening, both takeaways and formal dining. Earl's Court Road station is the ideal place to arrive when planning a trip which involves checking in as your first course of action. The rooms were kept very clean thanks to the diligent cleaning team at the hotel. My only complaints would be the narrow door to the bathroom of the room I was in which may be an issue for plus-sized guests in a single room. That and the room door closing quickly and loudly when left to close on it's own, so any guests should be mindful to close the door manually and carefully as to not trap digits nor to disturb other guests. Finally, the customer service was wonderful. The staff member who checked me in was a very polite and kind gentleman who processed my check in very well. Staff are available 24/7 at the reception, so despite requiring to return your room key to them whenever leaving the hotel premises, the process is easy. When I asked if they could keep my luggage on the day I checked out they were very understanding and were able to do so, so ideal for any convention-goers with a lot of luggage.

Reprehensible, rude, confrontational, miserable, unwelcoming staff. (We own 12 successful businesses in Canada.OUR EMPLOYEES treat our customers like GOLD.Otherwise we would fire them.) Staff at OLIVER HOTEL reception need to be fired. We are not curs under your feet. You treat customers like dirt. You have no people skills. Filthy hotel. Smells of urine.Shower didn't work.Reported to main reception. They did nothing.AVOID THIS DIRTY HOTEL.Expedia should not be promoting them on their website. IF the owner replies to this & is critical of our review, then he is an inveterate LIAR. WORDS TO THE WISE: Never patronize this hell hole.We have been loyal customers of EXPEDIA for 20 years. WHY THEY endorse this horrible establishment is beyond our comprehension. Am sure that the Hotel owner will serve up some platitudinous rebuttal as a pathetic defense.A budiness's reputation is only as good as its service. OLIVER personnel are not capable of offering courteous, decorous service. JUDGE M.S. .

Room was much smaller than photos, could barely move in the shower, in the morning then shower was cold no hot water and then completely stopped water all together. Breakfast was pants, continental breakfast but it's not even help yourself so you're limited on what you can have. Then finally they also request that you leave your key at reception when leaving the property!!! There was nobody even at reception when I left so I just took my key with me but it's not ideal for security purposes if keys are left and reception unattended with valuables in the room.

Hotel Oliver was a life saver as my flight had been cancelled and I needed a room which they has available for my one night stay. I know we can’t be choosy under quick circumstances I was a little take aback at how old and run down the room looked. It was rather dated reminded of something rented on a budget youth hostel in the 80s. It’s such a beautiful location why not give it a face lift.

I use a light mobility scooter and due to the area being of mostly older buildings, i understood i would need to drag it up the outer stairs to the hotel entrance, and i did email the property after booking to tell them this, and also that it was ok as they had a lift internally. When i got there, i was assisted by a lovely young lady snd an older lady who helped me but it was quickly established that the lift was not big enough for even a small scooter that is the same width as wheelchair and not much longer either, so the lady switched it for a downstairs room instead. My initial impression 9f the room was compact but very high ceiling and lovely long curtains. The bathroom was average and had a bath, with a shower in it controlled by a mixer handle, but it was clean. I went out for a while and while getting ready to go out for the evening, i decided to have a bath. I realised there was no plug there for the bath, so i went to the reception area where there was another lady and asked her for a plug, she had not got a clu3 what i was asking for at first and then rummaged through a drawer , and just said, no plug, while shrugging her shoulders. I resigned to have a shower but found to have no hot water, so back to reception again, and the lady came and turned it on, and nonchalantly said, they hadnt switched the labl3s on the taps , and again shrugged her shoulders at me

Had no time for breakfast so can’t judge on that but was told it’s a continental one. Although it was a single bedroom, the bathroom was tiny. When I sat on the bog my knees touched the wall. A dwarf would have difficulty in that bathroom. Also there was no hot water from the sink of which took minutes to go luke warm at best. As for the shower that also took minutes to warm up. £35 for parking a car overnight which had to be paid in cash was way way too expensive. Not worth the money for the single room or parking. Very disappointed.
