Mermaid Suite Hotel

The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean - BUT it was at the top of many, many stairs! For this Grammy, that made things difficult. Check-in was good and a nice young woman carried my bag when I asked for help. Check out was not so good - I’d been told someone would help with my carry on bag - in reality, a rather grumpy man told me on the phone that I was on my own. I won’t stay again although the location was fabulous!

I checked in today but found the place to be badly maintained, toilet walls were dirty, heater were not working and there is no lift and we were placed on fourth floor. We feedback but your staff were not helpful. The condition of the room was not acceptable and we left. I would like to request for a refund for my booking.

Very clean room. Staff allowed us to leave lugging on our last day after check out. Friendly staff

Room was okay, bit grubby, could do with updating. Only time saw staff was on booking in.

Terrible set up, having to go to a different street entrance to my room from the so called lobby (a dingy room up a steep set of stairs, entering from a different street door) rude staff (the manager from the so called lobby)

Location was incredible. Right in the middle of SoHo. You get what you pay for - the room is quite small, the shower is very small, no elevator/lift on site. But overall a great spot

Did not know we had to navigate all of the skinny stairs. Room was smaller than expected and very hot. Thankfully there was a fan but I just made it okay. It did the trick, but was over priced compared to our other two Marriott airport hotels

No lamps in room, just bright overhead lights. No lift, many steep stairs. No hand towels. Close to shopping, restaurants. Location great, but pricey for amenities.

Check in was easy and the gentleman at reception was very friendly. There is a narrow flight of stairs to get to reception. We were able to leave bags in the small reception area as we arrived early. Our room was across the road in another building on the 3rd floor (no lift) Room size was ok but basic. Did have hairdryer and tv but no other extras. Shower was great though. Furnishings tired with knocks and chipped paint around bases. Excellent location and ok for 1 night.

Ideal position, being just off Oxford Street, 10 minute walking distance from London Palladium. Bed linen and towels spotlessly clean. Bathroom clean. Beds a bit hard and uncomfortable unfortunately. In general room had everything we needed although in need off some refurbishment. Good value for what we paid in comparison to other hotel prices in that area.

The hotel is acceptable, and clean. It’s brilliantly positioned and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The area is very accessible fo anything. The only thing we dont like is we discovered a lot pf black mold at the bathroom ceiling. We experience body itxhy during pur stay. First time i stayed in a hotel dont hope soap shampoo and conditioner.

Room was very small but was in excellent location, with lots of tube and trains stations around. There was safe streets and lots of shopping around, easy acess to the hop on hop off bus. Owner is very nice and always there to anawer questions. Very pleasant stay>

Relatively inexpensive for the neighborhood and location is great, the manager greeted us outside and was friendly and booking was smooth. Note that the room was on the top fifth floor, so tons of stairs to haul luggage. The main down downsides were the building is old and quite rundown, though they were clearly doing some touch up painting and are working to improve its rather rundown interior. The cleanliness of the rooms was ok, for while the actual pillow cases/linens and bathroom (which was clearly redone and is nice) were clean (critical), the room has many wall stains and floor spots and we found half a bottle of water and a leftover part packet of ED pills under/between bed and walls (eeewww!). I also had a loose carpet staple stick my foot, which I pulled out for safety. All things told, despite a couple significant detractions, we really enjoyed our stay, and I do believe this manager and property are on the upswing and worth trying!
