Came for a wedding, and what a stunning venue! Be aware that the carpark is a short walk from the castle itself (for those wearing heels - there is gravel and a hill!), although people/luggage can be dropped off at reception. The building can appear a bit of a maze, but is incredible - had a great time exploring after a very tatsy breakfast (only got slightly lost!). Room was a good size, comfy bed, and surprisingly good water pressure in the shower!

The staff were all very helpful, the room was very clean with good facilities. Only difficulty I had being slightly disabled was I found the shower extremely slippery to use a non slip mat would have been useful. Food was excellent

Looking quite tired now in some of the rooms and have had to report maintenance requirements in different on my last 3 stays. Change of policy to not offer breakfast as part of a package without any change in price is sneaky and wasn't communicated at booking.

Service and experience was Well below standard expected for this price hotel, had better from budget hotels. No coffee capsules in the room for coffee machine, burnt toast, dirty breakfast bowls, incorrect breakfast orders, drinks served from broken glasses, ran out of breakfast cereal, very stingy on inclusive breakfast.

This is the second time we have stayed at Peckforton Castle On this occasion we had a nicer room with a fabulous view of the front lawn. We visited the wine cellar bar but were disappointed to find that we were unable to pursue a menu over pre dinner drinks , because they were “ printed daily “ it would have been nice to look at it before being seated Dinner in the brasserie was disappointing on this visit and had deteriorated significantly since our previous meal there. The salmon starter was served on crackers which were tasteless, the homemade soup was good though. My ragu was poor with overcooked pasta and my partners chicken Caesar was poorly presented but tasted ok Previously the Asian chef had curry on the menu which was excellent and the food overall was better than on this occasion However it’s a wonderful hotel set in fabulous grounds and beautiful rooms. All the staff were friendly and helpful With one or 2 tweeks it would have been amazing; oh and don’t have GB News on in the breakfast room !

First time staying at hotel. First impressions good in general. Only complaint is the stairlifts. Trying to get my disabled partner to breakfast in the upstairs restaurant was virtually impossible. One stairlift had been left at top of stairs with no way to bring it down and other stairlift was out of order. Why can't the breakfast be served in the ground floor restaurant? Especially as its near the only elevator in the building?

Absolutely beautiful hotel in such gorgeous surroundings. From the drive up to the car park, the walk through the walled gardens to the elegant reception hall everything blew us away. Then we got to the room and once again our expectations were met and exceeded. What a beautiful room we had (304). Sumptuous bedding on what could only be described as huge and lovely decor throughout. All staff were amazingly attentive and enthusiastic. Beautiful food on the brassiere and then had some time in the wine cellar bar. Breakfast was the finishing touch to the night away and again was incredibly delicious.
