We had a lovely 24 hours at the Edwardian Hotel in Manchester. The location is perfect – just a short 10-minute walk to the coach station, with plenty of food options nearby. The in-room dining was excellent too, but the highlight was definitely The Library restaurant – the steak was delicious and the service outstanding. The décor and vibe of the hotel are beautiful, and the spa and swimming pool are fantastic for relaxing. A special mention goes to the older gentleman at the concierge desk – he was absolutely fantastic, so kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Overall, a wonderful stay – highly recommend!

Bathrooms need work. The tub looked old, tired and unattractive. Plastic, barely working flusher above the toilet. You have to press long and hard to get it to work. Quite a few of the breakfast items were cheap/ budget quality and not the standard I'd expect from a 5 star hotel. No hotel parking. There are other hotels that have it but not this one. Nearest parking is an NCP carpark (10 minutes walk away). Staff were friendly enough. Bed was comfortable. Working Aircon. Fairly small rooms. Undecided if I would return (probably not),

Had 2 nights with wife, sister and brother in law also had room. First night was excellent but second night there was what sounded like some males shouting and running up and down outside our rooms at about 2.00 am. There must be cameras in the hallways so it baffles me why hotel management don’t do something about it. I reported it to a member of staff but I feel it fell on deaf ears. Other than that the hotel is exceptional.

I would love to say that this is a five star hotel. It has a five star gym and pool area - that’s about it and is the only reason that I stay here compared to other hotels in Manchester. Firstly, the hotel seemed understaffed and it took ages to check in. There was no welcome drink and overall the service was poor. I didn’t get any of my VIP access benefits. They don’t even give you a free bottle of water in the room anymore. The rooms are in dire need of an upgrade. The carpets are dated and dirty and the bathroom was clearly being patched up with repairs from leaks. I just feel that for something that is so expensive and it’s five star rated, I have had much better quality of room in much cheaper hotels around Manchester.

Great central location. Beautiful building and well appointed rooms. The bar was closed when we were staying, which was disappointing as it looked lovely. Also, checkout was 11am and they wouldn’t extend - this is too early for a 5 star hotel, in my view. We would have appreciated a 12pm checkout.

The room was a bit smaller than I expected, however was clean and nice. Bed was big which was nice and there was a smart TV. I found the smell of the washed linen/ towels/ robes to be a little weird as unscented. No car park specific to the hotel - we had to pay over £60 in a nearby car park.

We stayed here for a 3rd time as our experiences in the past have been excellent. The room is a great layout and the beds are so comfortable, we slept so well. Despite being in the heart of the city centre with really busy nightlife going on outside the soundproofing blocks all of the noise out. The location is very central, so for us that meant we had a great choice of pubs and restaurants within 10 minutes in all directions. Breakfast was excellent too, great choice of hot and cold foods.

Room nice; area great location. Breakfast was awesome. Evening snacks restaurant food was good. Things don't stay open late at night. My only negative is that they adjusted a charge on paper but not on my visa. Called the hotel line which I'm sure was not directly on site and then emailed and received no response. This was two weeks ago and associated with hotel charges from spa.
