Room okay, breakfast good, staff very good. But disappointing to learn on arrival that no evening meal. After 350 mile drive would have liked to have known before arrival that meals not avaliable.

The room we stayed in was tiny. There was a rack to the side of the bed with space to hang clothes and put luggage, but the space between the base of the rack and the bed was only about 8 inches. The drawers at the bottom of the rack could not open all the way, and there was nowhere else in the room to store anything. There were lamps on both bedside tables, but no outlet on one side, so one was useless, and there was nowhere to put it out of the way. The bathroom is fairly newly redone, but the shower has no niche or ledge to put soap or shampoo (and there are no dispensers). Breakfast. The room is large and impersonal. The drip coffee, boxed cereals, and supermarket sliced bread on offer are reminiscent of a cheap American motel. There is no menu for a cooked breakfast, but you can make modifications to the full English. I would never stay here again. There are similarly priced places with bigger rooms, better breakfast, and the option to have dinner there.

Great hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Probably better if their head office never got involved as they were quite poor at customer relations

We had a premium double room and this was a good size with en-suite. The overall cleanliness of the room was good apart from around the windows looked like black mould and little things like the glasses for water were dirty and the actual duvet had a large stain that could be seen through the duvet cover the sheet on the bed also had a small stain despite this the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very clean but the shower pressure was terrible. As this is also a pub we were expecting some noise if you’re a light sleeper I wouldn’t recommend staying in the main pub where our room was due to literally being able to hear everything it was manageable for us however we could imagine it wouldn’t be for others. Breakfast is very basic with 1 cooked breakfast option this was quite small such as having around 10 baked beans on the plate there is also no evening menu which we knew before we came. Staff were friendly enough. We found the hotel was in a good location especially for Clarksons pub (the farmers dog) overall the value of our room was good and we did enjoy our visit to the Cotswolds.

lovely room over looking fields with cows and rabbits so very quiet apart from the training exercises of the raf at briz norton but they were nice to hear. Close to briz norton runway literally at the end of the road. Close to cotswold wildlife park and farmers dog pub. Looking cotswold stone brick. Very lovely and friendly hosts Good breakfast selection continental and cooked. Saw deer, cows, horses and wild rabbits

The room and bed were very clean, unfortunately the stairwell and dining area carpets have seen better days. There were no bath towels in the room, just one of those things and we could have probably got these from reception but by that time we were dressed and decided not to shower until we got home. Breakfast was good. The main problem was that we returned to the hotel at 10pm on an August Saturday night looking forward to a night cap to find the bar deserted and locked up. Very disappointing! There are no food served in the evenings at the moment.

Beautiful place, room was lovely and had everything you could need. No evening chef (which we knew about before arrival) - had a great meal at Dolce Vita in Catterton. Bed was comfy, shower was a bit "trickly". Breakfast was good and staff were so friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
