This hotel was fantastic, the room was so spacious including a large bedroom / sitting area and a bathroom with large tub and stand up shower. We had emailed a few days in advance asking for early check in due to an early morning inbound flight, agreed on payment over email and then were given different information at the desk that the fee would be higher. As we had it in writing they agreed to the original price, but the person at the desk wasn't so kind during our interaction. That initial encounter made us feel the stay would be a challenge, but the location of the property and the room itself really turned it around for us. We were central to the Gay Village and China Town, and only a short walk to transit, restaurants, bars etc. Blackout curtains from floor to ceiling made sleeping in very easy, and there was no noise transfer between rooms and hallways. Would love to stay here again, fantastic visit.

Liked: location and friendly staff Didn’t like: 1. Location of plugs, not near the mirrors. 2. Bathroom poorly lit and not enough surface space in the bathroom for 2 people. 3. Bathroom plug broken. Overall I do not think this hotel is a 4 star hotel.

Very friendly staff excellent welcome upon arrival and breakfast, however… We were staying in a room facing the main road. The noise was too loud from outside until far too late, after 1am. Then It all started again with the bins being emptied etc at 6.30 am. Had virtually no sleep all night. If I can stay in another room not facing the road I would certainly try again.

Thanks to the staff for making our short stay so pleasant. They were all courteous and professional. Thanks to Jamiah for arranging a new room due to a problem with the original sink. (also the restaurant recommendation and the extension cord) Jamiah’s notes meant we didn’t have to explain the situation again to the morning clerk, Lorna. She had the new room ready sooner than expected and delivered the new keys to us. The upgrade was a nice surprise! The Townhouse is well located close to China Town and the Manchester Art Gallery.

There was a problem with our door meaning every time we went to the room the key cards didn’t work and we had to go to reception and get them redone. Even resetting the door didn’t help. Expect it maybe once or twice in a stay but it was every time. Staff were helpful but couldn’t solve the problem. That and the air con didn’t work either.

The room was freezing and the radiator couldn’t warm it up. The air conditioning only works from April to October so it was a bit of a letdown. I think this hotel might be confused about its location, perhaps thinking it’s in Manchester rather than the Costa del Sol. The check-in staff weren’t friendly or welcoming. It felt like an inconvenience to them that I was arriving late. The breakfast options were limited and mostly consisted of full English breakfasts. The coffee tasted watery and there were no fresh juices. Overall, the hotel is dated and needs a refresh. For example, the bed was bouncy and you could feel the springs.
