Good-sized, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a very convenient, central location. The rates are very fair too. It's my regular stay of choice in Manchester.

This was my second time staying at the hotel. It's pretty close to the Piccadilly Gardens, about 5-10 minutes by walk. It's also not far from St Peter's Square which is close to the central library. This time I got an upgrade. I had two double-beds. The view was better the first time I was there though. Breakfast was great too. The room was very warm inside but that's nice when you had been outside on a rainy day. The staff is great too. A shout-out to Jahmiah in the reception, a sweet, lovely lad who helped me with what places I should visit (especially if you're a huge fan of Oasis, Joy Division and the Stone Roses) and how to get to those. He also helped me a few times when I had locked myself out of my room (don't keep your card too close to your mobile phone!). I really love Manchester. I actually got a second tattoo there as well, a tribute to Oasis and Manchester. I'll definitely come back, hopefully soon. To me, Manchester feels like home.

Experience was excellent as always although I found the temperature in the room a bit too hot and the air conditioning wasn’t able to cool it down.

Good service and clean rooms. A bit boring breakfast with few options is the only downside.

The room, staff and hotel were great, it was clean the staff super chatty and hotel was beautiful. The only thing was there was no air con and even without the heating on it was absolutely boiling in our room with no access to opening a window even in February. The room we had was street facing and was really noisy as well. I guess we were unlucky with the location of the room but everything else was absolutely great and I would stay again.

The pictures of the rooms showed two beds when I booked, one smaller single bed and one dubble bed. We got one 140cm bed for two friends and the staff or hotels.com customer service was very unhelpful.

Lovely stay at the Townhouse one of the best places in Manchester. Clean and tidy room, quiet Will plan to stay there again Only issue light shining under room door which distracted at night no other issues otherwise

First and last time staying here. Queued on arrival to check in, got to the 4th floor to find key cards not programmed correctly. Room was a good size but I didn’t want to walk around bare foot, such was the state of the carpet. TV wasn’t very good. Bed was ok. Shower cubicle was tiny and water pressure poor. Dinner was anomaly dreadful and breakfast not much better. Staff were all very pleasant but the hotel is obviously understaffed. Barman doubled as the waiter, receptionist also doing the bar when there was nobody there. Finally, charging £6.45 for Guiness from a can in the bar seems excessive. In a street where there are a dozen other hotels, this place needs to do a lot better.
