Worplesdon Place Hotel

Stayed two nights in two different rooms, not impressed, - firstly an an up front extra charge of £30 per night for chocolates, biscuits and sweets etc. which we did not want or use. We were told that this charge would be credited to our card after the rooms were serviced. The rooms were adequate, but not as nice as they used to be, and badly maintained. In room 29 the shower head fell off while having a shower. In room 15 the cold tap on the wash basin was loose and moved around when been turned on or off. The food was very disappointing my wife and I were not very hungry but decided to both have Beef Rib Starters only. The food was so salty that we did not finish our meals. We were however given complementary coffee. We would not choose to eat here again. We have stayed here over a period of many years but we feel that the standard has declined

I had requested in advance to have a bath in my room. When I arrived after then looking I was advised this was not possible. When I went for breakfast there were three tables in a row, the two end ones had dirty plates on them. I was asked to sit at the middle table. Which would have been fine if the other tables had then been cleared.

Lovely room , great staff

Very nice ground floor room with small patio overlooking the garden. Room was very comfortable with all the amenties that one needs, We had a good dinner with our grandkids. Breakfast buffet was good with fresh farmhouse bread etc. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Loved this hotel and surroundings

The rooms are modern and clean , the pub serves great food and the grounds and expansive and restful . It’s our favourite hotel in the area with lots of character and charm .

nice room, but annoyingly next to kitchen who had their back door open so was very noisy until kitchen closed.

We loved the room. It was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The only criticism was that we didn't have any hot water for the bath during our stay, as it was only tepid and on the morning we were leaving, even the shower water was tepid. This still wouldn't put us off from returning, as we both had a nice relaxing stay.

Comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts/ bar snacks.

Faulty heating meant one uncomfortable hot night and shower too hot to use but change of room and second night alright

Old world charm

The hotel was hard to find in the dark as there were no or poor lights on the driveway. However, the staff were very friendly and professional and the food (breakfast) was of excellent quality (and quantity). It's a shame that there is no lift in the building, which makes less accessible for people with a disability. However, I'd definitely recommend the hotel.

Great location, superb room and very comfortable. Bar area great and food ordered was very tasty. Good selection of drinks available. Room well decorated and very clean and tidy. Issue with no hot water during our stay that wasn't rectified by staff which was disappointing as was looking forward to soaking in the free standing bath showed in the photos - so we probably won't stay again.

Check in slow, staff pretty slow. Food really expensive and poorly executed.

Fantastic room - all mod cons - brilliant

We stayed here recently and loved it so much we've been back again already. Rooms are stunning, staff friendly and food is delicious! We will most definitely keep returning

Bit of a hassle checking in as no one around to authorise

A friendly and comfortable hotel close to Guildford and Woking. The room was very comfortable and well-furnished with good amenities such as shampoo and conditioner. Our suggestion is to make more vegetarian options on the restaurant menu. It is very much recommended.
