Hôtel Elixir

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The rooms shown in the photos appeared renovated, modern, and well-maintained, but the actual room was old, outdated, and did not match the pictures at all. The bathroom was extremely small and uncomfortable to use, even for an average-sized person. In addition, the internet was not working properly during my stay, which was very inconvenient. To make matters worse, there were plumbing issues, with blocked drains that caused further inconvenience. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which is excellent and very convenient for exploring the area. Overall, this hotel is advertised as a 3-star property, but based on the condition of the rooms and the issues encountered, I would not even rate the room 1 star. The photos are misleading and do not accurately represent the actual condition of the accommodations. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

The staff at Hôtel Elixir were great! All of the staff we encountered spoke fluent English and were very accommodating. The concierge recommended several places for dinner when we arrived and ordered us a large taxi when we left. The hotel is only about four or five blocks from Notre Dame de Paris and the Seine. Excellent Bistros, cafes, bakeries, and shopping surround the hotel. Will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we’re in Paris.

The room was cute, complete with necessary Nespresso machine. The terrace was tiny but great! Only complaint- the hand shower had nothing to keep it eye level and I have long hair...

The room was spacious but it had large dust bunnies under the beds. The room was suppose to have a shower but had a large unsafe tub with a shower nozzle that sprayed water everywhere and no shower curtain. The top of the counter was pulling apart from the base and the calking was back with black mold. The little fridge didn't work.(i had to ask twice to have it fixed, then it still didn't cool very much when turn all the way up) There was no one to help with our bags. The site pictures made it look like a nice place to stay. But the Hotel was nothing like it's pictures. We chose not to eat breakfast there because of the lack of cleanliness of the Hotel. The first hostess was rude. The night clerk did a wonderful job at setting up a trust worthy ride to the Airport.

The Good: The location of this hotel is absolutely unbeatable, and the housekeeping staff was amazing every single day. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The Bad: The Smell: We stayed for 3 nights right after a game day, and the entrance smelled heavily of pee for all 3 days. No one did anything about it, and walking through it was horrible. The Rooms: Incredibly small. There was barely enough room for two adults to stand together. The bed was also the hardest bed I have ever slept on in my life. The Amenities: The towels are ridiculously small. If you are larger than a clothing size 4, a single towel will not even cover you. The Elevator: Extremely small and painfully slow. It can only fit two adults and a small stroller, meaning we had to wait an extra 10 minutes just to get our luggage up. Final Verdict: Traveling with a 15-month-old baby is hard enough, but this hotel made it much more difficult. This feels like a 120€–150€ hotel, not a 300€/night property. Do yourself a favor: book a different hotel in this exact area, but skip this one. Honestly not worth the price.

Excellent location: walking distance to Notre Dame, The Louvre, Ste Chapelle. Very close to shops, cafes and restaurants of different cuisines. Couple of blocks to River Seine & the Metro. Staff was helpful & accommodating (stored our luggage while we went to Lourdes for a day). Bed & pillows were soft & comfortable. Coffee, tea, hot water pot in the room & the toiletries of wonderful scent. The room & bathroom were a a bit tight for hubby & me, not a deal breaker as understandably real estate in Paris is expensive. The location was more important for us; very convenient to most all.

Good for solo travel, cafes , restaurants and shopping areas are walking distance and metro closeby!

Outside is quite dirty with chaios for those car parks

Good location to the Louvre and church of Notre Dame. The bed is comfortable and our family got good night sleep.

Clean room, well positioned with the Chatelet metro station, walking distance to shops and WIFI reasonable

The gentleman that checked us in when we arrived he was nice and helpful. Everyone else was RUDE. The hotel has a terrible smell of sewage. The room smell like sewage also .the lighting in the hallway was supposed to be on a motion detector, that did not work . It was the scariest thing !imagine standing in a unfamiliar dark hallway. The rooms were duty the bathroom was dirty with mold in the shower the hand held device in the shower was broken! It was the most uncomfortable and scary experience. The following morning I went to ask reception a question(older Caucasian women) about where is a rubbish bin. She looked at me and said” I don’t know and my bin is only for paper “terrible customer service

The room was quite dark with dark colours even though we paid extra for a balcony it wasnt worth it. The bathroom had a strange smell from the drains. The cleaner left her key in the room with the door wide open and had gone home! When we said to reveption staff that our items had been left for anyone to take with the door wide open they just said dont worry! Nothing else. We completed a pre registration form and they asked if we were celebrating something. We said yes and then the hotel did nothing anyway so it was pointless.

Staff was courteous but also not as helpful as I would have liked

Hotel Elixir is a small but comfortable hotel, ideal for travelers looking for a convenient location in Paris. There are many dining options within walking distance, which makes it very easy to find places to eat at any time of day. The staff is attentive and helpful, and the hotel is located close to a train station, making transportation around the city very convenient. Taxis and ride-share services like Uber are also easily accessible nearby. Overall, it’s a practical and pleasant place to stay.

The room stunk like sewage. We advised the staff that said they would try to fix the drain but it was apparent that this was an ongoing non-fixable issue. It was like sleeping inside a dirty toilet bowl. They should have never rented out that room, let alone at its very expensive rate! This hotel should be banned from Expedia.

Hotel did not have our reservation when we arrived. different room was given and had to switch rooms midway thru stay. Shower had water that would spill all into the hallway within 1 min of turning on. staff was nice.

The room was ok, some marks on the sheet and the bed appeared unkept

The only reason why I gave this hotel 4 stars on property condition is that the room had some issues, and the shower smelled; however, the location was amazing, and will honestly come back.
