The hotel was conveniently located to the university, just a minute or two from the Observatoire tram stop (direct connection C tram from the Gare Centrale train station). While no hot food, the breakfast buffet was full and fresh and good value, the room with panoramic windows had good light and outside air control, and tram sound was minimal with the windows closed. Bed comfort was average, just one chair to sit on with the desk. Everything was clean and all the personnel were exceptionally attentive, friendly and obliging. Luggage was readily stored before check-in time and after check-out. We were pleasantly surprised for the reasonable rate that there was nothing to complain about, so would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for visitors to Strasbourg. Although you do need tram or bus transportation to get to the center, major tourist attractions are not too far away,

Super convenient for multiple transit stops. Nice rooms, and very kind receptionist. On a corner so it's not a perfectly quiet place, but I will definitely stay here again.

Hôtel très joli.certainement art nouveau.tres belle fresques murales ainsi que divers tableaux. Par ailleurs chauffage dans les chambres alors que le jour nous avons 30 degrés et la nuit 15.Ce qui explique la note environnementale.

Overall was good but only one thing was the lift out of service. It is the problem for traveler with big luggage difficult to carry to 4/5 floor. So, the hotel should fix the lift asap. Thanks

My husband and I needed a simple room in Strassborg after the Wine Fest. Hotel Esplanade was fantastic...right across the street from the tram and very easy to find. Older reviews of the hotel were poor, but the most recent ones were positive so I gave it a try. Our room was quiet and had a view of the cathedral in the distance. There were also nice touches like a hot water kettle, tea, biscuits and coffee as well as cups, glasses, and shampoo. For a 2 star hotel, this exceeded our expectations. In addition, the bathroom was very clean and you could tell it had been remodeled. The staff were friendly and he made sure we had individual logons since we had two devices that needed wifi.

Much as expected, having stayed here before. Like location - very pleasant 15 minutes walk into town; and frequent trams to town, 3 lines including one from hotel door to railway station.

Quick efficient check in, breakfast adequate. Reasonable rate for room compared to other hotels in city. Close to tram stop And easy tO find. Enjoyed boat trip. Felt very safe of at night.
