We had a wonderful stay at Le Boule de Neige. The hosts were so wonderful and nice, and we enjoyed having our discussions with them. Because we had children they put us in a larger room with an upstairs, which our children thought was really cool. The rooms was very comfortable, and the food was wonderful! We will definitly go back next time!

La Boule de Neige is a friendly and welcoming 2 star hotel located just a few metres from the fantastic new gondola in Vercland. The hotel provided everything that we needed for our short skiing trip - free on-site parking, a ski room, comfortable beds, hearty breakfast. All this just a short walk from the gondola station.

I appreciate this is only 2 star hotel but i expected more for my £85 a night. Our room was on the second floor and only accessible by narrow and twisted stairs. We had very heavy large bags and although we had help with them when we checked in we carried them down ourselves when we checked out which was really dangerous and could caused an accident. The room was very small and the bathroom even samller. The sticky sliding Door to the bathroom was right next to the bed which gave no privacy when we used the bathroon. I could hardly fit in the shower cubical and water fills the shower tray when showering, i didnt feel clean after showering.

We were hot tired slightly desperate GR5 walkers when we arrived and the hotel owner couldn't have been more helpful. The next day he made us a sandwich for lunch, gave us a lift to the cash machine then to the start of the track. If you are arriving via GR5, the hotel is a little out of town on a not easily walkable road, but the owner will come and pick you up if you give him a call. Good evening meal at the hotel too.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Boule de Neige. The hosts were so wonderful and nice, and we enjoyed having our discussions with them.
