Stories Boutique Hotel

Was a very nice stay in one of the Suites. Great location and access to restaurant. Style is a bit dated with a late 70’s minimalist and hostel feel. Room was as pictured, in fact bigger than. My only comment was the bathroom sink, it needs a redesign and it was a mess to even wash one’s hands or brush the teeth. The is one complaint I have, the hotels transportation service, Welcome Pickups, is terrible, we were stuck at the airport on arrival for 45 minutes waiting for a driver that told us to wait outside in the cold. One would expect a person to be waiting for you, not one that has you call when you get there.. they were supposed to monitor the flights… and on the departure, the Welcome Pickups drive left use in the arrival area parking lot where we had to struggle with our luggage and then when we find the departure area upstairs, there is an area in front where taxi’s can drop you off at the entrance… i guess the drivers do not have airport taxi permits.. with this said, if you do not have a bit of luggage, i would consider just booking a cab on arrival or via bolt… so much for attentive transport

Really central to everything, property was great overall, the one downside o would say is it’s quite noisy at night because you are so close to street life. Room was clean, spacious and comfy overall!

The room was amazing, staff really helpful and friendly. 10/10

Coffee and snacks in the lobby

Stories Hotel Budapest is a truly romantic and unforgettable place to stay. Every interaction was met with genuine kindness, care, and an eagerness to help. They were incredibly accommodating, thoughtful, and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. From recommendations to special requests, nothing felt like too much trouble. It’s rare to find a hotel that combines such distinctive design with such heartfelt hospitality. We left already talking about when we’ll return.

Presidential suite obviously excellent. 26 restaurant lovely but the breakfast was only average with not the biggest selection and a little pricey compared with close buy alternatives. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly.

We stayed at the presidential suite, which was big, clean, well equipped, the staff was great and helpful.

The service of the staff was amazing. Staff was welcoming and did what they could to assure our comfort. The rooms are spacious but slightly dated. The rooms could use some attention to detail such as ceiling paint. Other than that, our stay was cozy.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff were great. Make sure to get a reservation for the restaurant in the hotel. It was amazing.

Loved this property, had previously been to the restaurant for brunch but first time staying. Rooms were great, staff was very helpful. Will definitely stay here next time I’m back in the city!

Helpful and friendly staff in the lobby! Cool and spacious room.

Staff were excellent and friendly. Ambience, the decor, I mean everything. This was better than some of the 5 star hotels I have stayed. I stayed only 2 nights and wished if I could have stayed more. But if I get a chance to visit Budapest again, I won’t be searching any other hotels, it will be this same hotel.

The room was clean, but there was a very bad smell from the bathroom. It smelt like a sewage

The hotel needs renovation. The sofa bed was uncomfortable. Other than that everything was perfect. Will return.

This hotel has a great location. The rooms are perfectly fine for a few day visit. My shower in the bathroom was very large and felt luxurious. The Air conditioning in my room worked great. The only complaint that I have is that my room did not have a coffee maker. Apparently, this was noted in the room details but it seems like a standard feature for most hotels. There is a coffee machine in the lobby, but nice to have one in your room as well. There is a fantastic restaurant on the first floor of the building that the hotel is in that is a must try! Great food, service and atmosphere.

- A very foul smell running through the corridor into our room which interrupted our sleep throughout the stay and could not get proper rest. - There were no locks for bathroom door, and they were quite outdated. On one instance one of us got locked inside and we had to wait roughly 20 minutes to get the help needed. This resulted in excessive panic and hyperventilation for my friend who was locked inside. - Our bedding was not changed even once during our 4 nights stay. Although I appreciate that this could be how they operate, but we requested for the bedding to be changed. - We were unable to open the attic doors and there was no aid provided for the same. This was much needed due to the ever-present foul smell in the room. - There was only one glass in the room (for 3 people) and even upon requesting, they would not adhere to it. - It was quite unacceptable that there were towels with hair locks which I took to the desk and they seemed fairly unapologetic about the same. - There was no tea or coffee bags in the room and we had to always fetch them ourselves on a daily basis. This is a basic amenity in the most basic of hotels.

Great hotel location. Busy area, but not noisy. Central to most sightseeing sites and easy access to the metro and trams. Surrounded by many restaurants and entertainment. Hotel is well managed, staff was friendly and helpful.
