Lighthouse Inn

Exceeded our expectations. We arrived and the staff was very friendly and even accommodated an early to go breakfast for our early flight. The rooms were so clean, and modern but cozy. I’d say this was the best stay of them all in our trip in Iceland. We watched the sunset over the lighthouse from the window in our room :)

What a nice place to stay on our last day. They had a nice breakfast and coffee and are close to the airport. Room was clean and comfy. We would stay again!

Amazing place! Clean, quiet rooms! The staff was amazing, especially the woman that worked evenings! Breakfast bar was a great way to start your day! Great selection of fresh food!

If you want to stay in a quiet and peaceful place Light house gives you that tranquilizer. Away from buzzle and hazzle. Breakfast is basic but good. Staff are approachable and cheerful.Will definetely go back to this place again.

We have an afternoon flight so I decided to stay close to the airport in case there is any traffic issue on the highway. Turns out it was a great choice. The hotel is family run and felt very cozy the moment you walked in. My wife loved the wooden structure inside. Our room was facing a wild open field. It's a short walk from the hotel to the lighthouse where we enjoyed the nice sunset. Breakfast is included and it was good. Check out time was noon so we have plenty of time to relax and get ready for the long flight home.

Mathilda was very helpful and informative. Made suggestion for nearby restaurant for dinner. We had to leave early for the airport and missed breakfast so they provided a sack/sandwich takeaway. Very accommodating.

Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Ideal location if you have a 1 day layover. They do have dinner if needed but limited menu. Breakfast however was very good.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, fabulous for viewing northern lights and coastal views, plus its only a short drive to the airport. The rooms were fine for a night or two stay, clean and tidy, but somewhat dominated by wood, we tried exploring but was staying on the Easter weekend and as a result many places were closed for the Easter holiday.

This place was great! It was on the coast and the cabin #7 was spacious and comfortable. Loved the hot tub on the roof. Would have liked a food option there, but would 100% book again!

We enjoyed our stay of one night here. The location is scenic and on the edge of a quiet, small, town. The property is quite clean and the rooms are a nice size. Very cool lighthouse outside that does light up at night. Property a bit dated but it was quite comfortable, including the bed, and had plenty of outlets for charging things. The front desk staff didn’t seem the friendliest but perhaps she was just tired. She didn’t seem rude at all. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the Lighthouse Inn on our last night in Iceland. The room was very clean with comfortable beds. The skies were clear and the Northern Lights were beautiful dancing over the Ocean. Very close driving distance to several neat things to explore and see in the Reykjanes area before our 8pm flight.

Check-in was smooth, easy, and felt genuinely personal from the moment we arrived. This is a small, charming hotel—perfect for our final night. We were looking for something that captured the spirit of our time in Iceland, and its location near the coast and close to a landmark made it feel especially meaningful. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable and restful stay—simple, thoughtful, and just right after a full day of exploring. The highlight of our visit was dinner at their restaurant, Eos Table. The setting is casual, but the flavors are anything but. Every dish felt elevated and intentional, and the service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and personalized throughout the evening. We started with the fried camembert appetizer, which was a standout, and then enjoyed the fish and chips and fish tacos. The fish and chips were perfectly executed—light, crisp batter with just the right amount of crunch, allowing the freshness of the fish to truly shine. (You know how sometimes the batter overpowers the fish? Not the case here at all.) We were too full for dessert, but ended the meal with lattes that were just as impressive. My husband ordered a mocha latte, and you could immediately tell it was made with real chocolate—no artificial syrups, just rich, authentic flavor. The décor throughout the hotel was cozy and thoughtfully done, with touches that felt distinctly Icelandic and inviting. We truly loved our stay and would absolutely return.
