What Guests Say About Their Stay

This hotel was incredible. The room was a comfortable size, beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows were so comfy. They decorated it in rose petals and balloons for my birthday as a driving surprise ( after my partner asked them) The outside of the building was so intricately decorated in carved sandstone. The pool was refreshing and a most welcome pleasure. Views of the huge fort looming above, while we are in the restaurant, were like something from a movie. The boys in the upstairs restaurant were so sweet and made absolutely delicious food. The concierge was very friendly and efficient and even gave us a ride back on his motor bike when he passed us walking back :) Over all a great location in a fabulous city. I've seen many Indian towns and cities and Jaisalmer would be up there as one of my favourite.

I loved staying at the Tokyo Palace. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, even send someone to pick me up from the train station for free at 4:30am and to drop me off at midnight again after my stay. The rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The rooftop restaurant is an awesome area to just chill for hours, enjoy the view and have a great meal too. I would definitely recommend the place.

On the positive side, location is good, very close to the fort and the lake. Just a few minutes of walking. Safe area. Staff is friendly and they were kind to pick me up at the train station for free. The restaurant on the rooftop is good, nice view, good food at affordable prices. Main waiter is a really cool guy, very friendly, too. Decoration is really nice. Hot water with good pressure (though not all the time). On the negative side, room is very cold in the winter, no heater. Also, very noisy. There's a hotel next door that plays music all night till 1am or 2am, every day. In the morning too. Very difficult to catch some sleep. The mattress is also too thin and soft.

The hotel location is very good with walking distance to the golden fort (route though through by lanes of the neighbourhood and tidy). Fantastic view of the fort from rooftop restaurant. Restaurant is nice and cosy but food a little bit dampner. Staff is courteous but restaurant closes by 10:30 pm. Boarders need to be quiet without any loudness at night. Overall experience is quite good.

Quick and easy check in. Lovely room with large comfy bed. Also had a couple of window seat type couches, fridge and tv with satellite channels. Complimentary water, tea and coffee. The staff went out of their way to help you and were always extremely polite and happy to see you. The restaurant is on the top floor. For breakfast there is a limited but adequate choice. We ate most of our meals here and where never disappointed. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is that the pool in my opinion needed cleaning and the bathroom amenities could be improved upon as just given a bar of soap. No shampoo, shower gel etc. However I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Honestly was not expecting much, but was surprised by how generous the hotel staff treated me and how welcoming they where. My room was perfect size and location was wonderful. The hotel (sakhi)picked me up from train and a chi when we arrived to hotel. All I can say was wow total worth every dollar. The food was great also and fair prices. The camel safari lead by (daniel) was okay and only bc It was cold and I didn't get any good pictures but that's outside the hotels control.

The outside of the building and inside the bedrooms are decorated as beautify as the pictures show. Loved our stay here. The meals were delicious and the staff did their best to impress. There is a swimming pool, and the view of it is nice. But we've been sick from the water in India already and I didn't quiet trust the colour of the water in the pool - so we never used it. We only stayed one night, but were very impressed. The most comfortable beds we slept on in India were at this hotel. And the shower really was hot as advertised (some other hotels advertised hot showers but they were only warm)

We arrived exhausted and filthy from 3 days on camels in the desert, and it was brilliant to be welcomed so kindly and shown to a clean, cool room. Daniel, the manager, is kindness itself, helpful in every way, and we found the rest of the staff helpful too. The restaurant serves very tasty food, and we enjoyed sitting up there looking at the wonderful Jaisalmer fort and catching up with our emails over sandwiches and lassi. Thanks, Hotel Tokyo Palace, for a restorative stay.

The Hotel is simply superb. It's extremely tourist friendly irrespective of you being backpacker, solo traveler or with family. The hotel is the only one who sent me a personal mail confirming my booking and told me they could plan my trip at Jaisalmer. Staff at desk are extremely helpful and warm hearted. They called me night before my journey to Jaisalmer and asked what time will I be reaching Jaisalmer and if I need any assistance in morning to reach hotel. Small gestures like these are very heart warming and make you feel special. Hotel is extremely close to the central bus station and easy to find. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Staff members are very helpful and courteous in solving your queries. The highlight of hotel is roof top restaurant and view of fort from it during night time is breath-taking. They even provided us a ride early morning at 6 am to railway station for free of cost. I really miss our 2 nights stay at hotel. Overall I will highly recommend this hotel. It's totally value for money experience.
