ITC Grand Chola, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Chennai

Expected to be at least a four star quality . Food was terrible. There are better four star hotels than one with this starting in Chennai. Would not recommend

Need to have competent staff at the check-in and check out counters. Very inefficient. Breakfast was horrible. Had dinner at the Chinese average food .

Just overall a wonderful place to stay! We stayed their 2 bedroom apartment suite. They were clean, well maintained, staff were very polite and helpful. Spa was exceptional. Food was excellent. The microwave in our room never warmed the food that was our only issue. We also didn’t contact them about it because it didn’t matter much. Had we told them, I am sure they would have fixed it quickly. Will be staying with them for our future visits. Please keep up the good work.

After a few noisy rooms in past (rooms under flight path, looking over railway, roadway, next to gym) I was giving this hotel one last go, as everything else is great. Lucky this time as got a very quiet room, after requesting change from one looking over railway. Fabulous bed, bathroom and linen. Club room well worth it as fully free bar for 2 hours in evening with substantial fresh and cooked buffet in lounge, all included, and amazing breakfast spread. They don’t explain benefits of club room well enough on Hotels.com. Spa is also great, free to use sauna , jacuzzi etc. Extraordinary architecture and finish. Pool area could improve with a drinks service. All staff are so polite and helpful. Immaculate throughout.

I had the pleasure of staying at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai last week, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The property itself is grand, elegant, and truly reflective of Chennai’s rich heritage, with every corner exuding luxury and warmth. A special mention to Kaamini Samraj from Guest Relations, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Her attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care made us feel valued and truly at home. From arranging small comforts to checking in personally to see if everything was perfect, Kaamini’s professionalism and kindness stood out and elevated our entire experience. ITC Grand Chola is already known for its world-class service, but people like Kaamini make it exceptional. I look forward to returning soon and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chennai.

I stayed at ITC Grand Chola for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience in every aspect especially the customer service, room service, cleanliness, and the delicious food. In addition to the above, I requested the front desk for a tour of this magnificent property. I was assigned a guide named Monica, who was truly amazing. She had in-depth knowledge about the property and shared its history in great detail, from A to Z. The tour lasted about 30 minutes, during which I learned a great deal. Even though I am a Tamilian, born and brought up in Tamil Nadu, I discovered many historical facts from her that I didn’t know before. I now live in Canada as a citizen and frequently visit India both to explore more business opportunities and for leisure, enjoying our traditional Indian food, reconnecting with my university friends, and exploring our country’s tourism. Monica also kindly offered her assistance for any future bookings at this property. I would appreciate it if you could share more information about ITC properties across India, as I am very interested in exploring them further. I am also keen to learn more about your club membership program and the benefits it offers. To sum it up, I am certain I will be returning to stay here in the near future, and I strongly recommend that other guests consider this exceptional property, located in the heart of Chennai. Excellent big property has it all with class and style

Great architecture and excellent customer service

Great location, fantastic service at the restaurant great selection of food top-notch service at the restaurant. Check in with fantastic. The only area that requires improvement. Is that after the check-in I was being escorted by the staff member after walking about 80 feet he just told us to keep walking forward turn left and we would reach our room unfortunately our room was in the residences area, which was a long way away from where we checked in. It’s slightly confusing signage. It been highly appreciated if he could have escorted us till the door of our room rather than give us instructions how to go. At the residences the amenities and space was out of the world. Area of improvement could be that the light switches for numerous and confusing and took us a good few minutes and time to turn them all off.

Comfortable stay though Bug spray was required

Cigarette smell. Did not change room inspite of informing reception. Would recommend Leela Palace as they made us feel special and treated us well.

Overall it’s an excellent properly and top class restaurants. Staff is very nice and friendly.

While this is a stunning looking property, great for photos, it’s a shame it’s so noisy. Right under flight path from intl airport. Planes not their fault but from very early morning I could hear weights pounding from gym even though I had requested a very quiet room after long travels. Would have liked 2 hours more sleep. But spa amazing, and Happy Hour buffet and drinks excellent (complimentary with Club room - recommend club room, which is amazing, super bed and bathroom, if you can get a quieter room). Breakfast also very good. Pool area noisy due to planes flying right overhead. Didn’t spend as much time there as planned. Also no hospitality at pool (no bar service). Bar is amazing also and restaurants look great, but very pricey.
