I booked a late check-in (16:30) as the accommodation only has check-in from 14:00 - 14:00.
When I arrived (16:35), I was told to contact the owner as it is a private rental. I contacted Ari (number in the ad) and he told me to send a screenshot of my booking. After I sent, he told me to message the admin. They then told me to contact someone else (Dimas) because he had the key.
I had to wait 90 minutes before that guy showed up!
When he arrived, he did not have the key... he checked me in with security and they handed him the key! He then escorted me to the room, which had no handle on the outside of the door (I found the handle inside by the sink) and the key was incredibly difficult to turn.
Dimas unlocked it and walked away.
Once inside, I was disgusted!
It was dirty, smelled of damp, and almost everything was broken or damaged in some way.
I instantly messaged Dimas to complain but he told me to message the admin.
They palmed me off with excuses, told me the room had been thoroughly cleaned (so I sent them photos of the mess), and did nothing! They didn't even send someone to clean properly, let alone fix things!
The room was absolutely disgusting and I couldn't have a shower in the morning because there wasn't a shower attachment!
Admin told me "the shower had problems after the previous tennant".
When I mentioned the bathroom tiles were not the same colour as in the advert, they told me the advert showed the bathroom when the property was still new. That was an absolute lie!
The physical layout of the bathroom didn't even match the one advertised!
WiFi was listed in the provided services so I asked for the WiFi details.
They then told me there is no WiFi because the modem is broken!
One other little point... they show a water dispenser in the room. That is correct. It is there. But the gallon is empty and they don't fill it. If you want Aqua, you need to order a gallon yourself!
And, during the night, the AC was noisy as hell and the swing cover fell off which woke me up from the very little restless sleep I could get.
I have no idea how it fell, but, considering the mess in there, my mind instantly thought "RAT!"... Do you think I could easily get back to sleep again after that??? 
I called Traveloka to file a complaint, ask for a cancellation, and get my money back so I could find somewhere decent to stay... they told me it was, as advertised, non refundable.
Of course I argued that because the accommodation was unfit for the purpose and sold based on a false advert. They asked me to send photos of the room and told me they would contact the hotel to discuss it.
2 days later, they are still refusing to refund my money!
The property was not as advertised and should not have been advertised at all!
It is disgraceful and disrespectful to expect someone to pay for and stay in that health hazard!
The owner of the property, the admin, and Dimas did nothing to make my stay even slightly comfortable. 
Traveloka themselves won't even protect my consumer rights on this!
I have asked for a full refund because I was tricked into thinking I was renting something else, but they have only offered a discount voucher for my next purchase through their platform - first they offered 20k, then they increased it to 50k, and are now offering 100k - but I have found out I cannot trust them or their advertisers to be genuine and honest, so why would I even consider booking through them again?
