The staff was friendly, and upon check-in we were offered a view of Lawang Sewu. Wow, the room was cool, clean, and close to Lawang Sewu. The extension process was also easy. And upon check-out, I was allowed to bring new sandals because the extension was a souvenir, and the manager said I could also bring more 😄. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay here. Thank you Pop Hotel for providing a memorable experience during our vacation in Semarang. Success!

The hotel staff was friendly and responsive, and check-in was easy and fast. The rooms were clean, the location was opposite DP Mall, and there were plenty of culinary options. It's close to the Lawang Sewu tourist area. I'd definitely stay here again.

The unplanned extension was actually due to the bus schedule not being as planned. But that's okay, the silver lining was being able to enjoy the city of Semarang longer. And honestly, I wasn't satisfied with my rest at the hotel because we arrived past check-in time and checked out early too. I wanted to stay longer at the hotel. Yes, it was comfortable because our vacation time was short and busy exploring iconic spots so we didn't get enough rest to enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of the hotel. We really enjoyed staying here even though we got wet a few times due to the leaky shower. But, it's okay. Nothing is perfect in this world, right? 🤣

Overall, it's okay, close to the city center, but there's no hairdryer in the room. When I extended my stay, I got a room with a bad AC, so I complained and was immediately upgraded. The breakfast menu was lacking; the white bread was dry, hard, and not soft.

A fairly comfortable budget hotel to stay in. It's strategically located in the heart of Semarang. The rooms are quite spacious and clean. A special note for smokers: all rooms are non-smoking, but there's a comfortable smoking area, just a hassle of going back and forth. Overall, it's a comfortable stay.
