I’ll be back. Love everything about staying here. Location, room, staff. The small details in the rooms & the common area. Really chilled and relaxed vibe.

First impression: staff were cool, casual, and spoke good English (my Japanese is terrible). They were informative when I asked for info. Check-in & out was very easy and straightforward. Was able to leave my luggage for a small additional cost because I was coming back. Room was cozy & super clean. Location - amazing. So close to UENO for skyliner to Narita airport. Also close to NEZU station. I wish I had more time to explore the park around Ueno, so I would love to come back.

About a 15min walk from Ueno, the hotel was in a quiet neighbourhood, and walkable to a lot. Very close to Nezu station which made getting around easy. Happy hour, and the cafe were nice for getting something to eat or drink. Rooms were nice, clean and bright with a typical Tokyo hotel bathroom

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but very small. We started the trip here and didn't have much luggage, but by the end, we had more, and it wouldn't have fit in that room. There are shared bathrooms and showers, so make sure you book the correct room. We booked a room with a private bathroom, and it’s small but comfortable. The machines wash and dry and only take 100 yen coins. You can only put a very small amount of clothes inside, and it will take about 2 hours. The hotel provides pj’s, bath towels, Q-tips, etc., so you don’t have to pack much.

Highly recommend this hotel in Tokyo. I would definitely stay here again. It is very clean and quiet. The neighborhood is very nice and interesting with many restaurants and grocery shops nearby. Also close to several subway lines. Within walking distance of Ueno Park, which is lovely and noted for the sakura in spring time. Ueno Park also has a number of excellent museums worth visiting if time permits, as well as some noted shrines and temples. The hotel has different types of rooms ranging from dorms with shared bath to private rooms with private bath. Price is good for all types of rooms. Breakfast was filling. Staff were very helpful and provided a sandwich for me on a morning when I needed to leave before breakfast service began. Staff, overall, are very friendly and helpful. They serve free beer in the early evening. Close to Haneda airport; easy to move around Tokyo from the neighborhood.

How to go to Hotel Graphy Nezu from Airport

Navigating from the airport to Hotel Graphy Nezu is a breeze with several convenient options. Whether you prioritise speed, cost-effectiveness, or comfort, there's a transfer from airport to hotel to suit your needs. Here's a breakdown of your choices for a smooth hotel transfer:
  • Taxi (Most Direct):

A taxi offers the most direct route to Hotel Graphy Nezu. You can find taxi stands outside the arrival halls of both Narita (NRT) and Haneda (HND) airports. The journey from Narita can take around 60-90 minutes, while from Haneda, it's approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Be prepared for a higher fare, especially from Narita.
  • Airport Limousine Bus (Comfortable & Convenient):

The Airport Limousine Bus provides a comfortable and hassle-free transfer. Look for buses heading to the Ueno or Tokyo Station area, and then take a short taxi or subway ride to the hotel. This option is generally more affordable than a taxi.
  • Narita Express (N'EX) or Skyliner (Fast & Efficient):

From Narita Airport, the Narita Express (N'EX) train goes to Tokyo Station. From there, transfer to the subway (Marunouchi Line to Ueno Station, then the Chiyoda Line to Nezu Station). The Skyliner train goes to Ueno Station directly, making it a very convenient option.
  • Keikyu Line (From Haneda - Affordable):

From Haneda Airport, the Keikyu Line offers a direct train to Ueno Station. From Ueno Station, take the Chiyoda Line to Nezu Station, which is a short walk from the hotel. This is a budget-friendly option.
  • Subway (Most Affordable):

While it involves transfers, taking the subway is the most affordable option. From Narita, take the Keisei Line to Nippori Station, then transfer to the JR Yamanote Line to Ueno Station, and finally the Chiyoda Line to Nezu Station. From Haneda, take the Keikyu Line to Daimon Station, then transfer to the Toei Oedo Line to Ueno-Okachimachi Station, and walk to Nezu Station.
  • Ride Hailing (Convenient):

Ride Hailing services are available in Tokyo. You can book a ride through the Traveloka app upon arrival at the airport. This offers a convenient door-to-door service, but can be more expensive than public transport.

Tips:

For the most convenient route, consider the Airport Limousine Bus if you have a lot of luggage. If you're on a budget, the subway is your best bet. For speed, the Narita Express or Skyliner from Narita, or the Keikyu Line from Haneda, are excellent choices.

Room was incredibly clean and cleaned daily. I didn’t mind it, but in case someone else does, the private room we had, the bathroom had a step that was about a foot off the ground. The bed was big enough for two less than 6 feet tall people, but the mattress is a little stiff. Staff were all incredibly helpful and super kind. Hotel has free WiFi, and was very fast. Kitchen area was easy to use and had a lot of accessibility. Overall though, would stay here again as it is a 20 minute walk to Ueno Station. Very accessible!

Room side was good except the bathroom was tight and had a step above the floor which caused inconvenience for every access, especially when you have children. Room Amenities were basic but they have an extensive shared area for TV, entertainment and pantry space if needed. Staffs were helpful. Location situated in local residential area, close to Zoo and Keisei station but not to JR Ueno station.

Great stay here. The hotel is well set up with plenty of shower blocks that were always clean. The onsite restaurant was really convenient for the mornings to get the day going. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Would definitely stay here again

Fantastic neighborhood; helpful staff; hotel feels a bit dorm-like (with common areas for cooking, laundry and TV) but in a cheerful way.

We just had one night, the location is excellent and really takes you away from the hustle and bustle but keeps it all within reach. We appreciated the projector, pool table and happy hour with a free beer! Slightly pricey for our booking but a great and friendly experience 🙂

this hostel is great. staff are great and speak great english. it’s reasonably close (~7min walk) to a konbini and stations. the hostel is tucked in a quiet neighborhood, so the initial approach is very peaceful even with bulky luggage.

Nice hotel, convenient with kitchen, and not far from main train stations. It is better if paper cup is provided.

Staff top tier. Room fine but walls very very thin. Also needs a small safe for valuables. With a door that can be caved in with a strong shove I couldn’t leave anything in the room. Please put in a small safe.

A great location for peace and quiet, close to Ueno Park and several museums. Also close to metro lines. Good facilities and amenities. I loved the projector room for watching movies. Cozy atmosphere overall and great for digital nomads and longer stays.
