Perfect hotel along a main highway in Kyoto. A little bit of a walk away from Kyoto station, though very pretty so definitely worth the walk over a taxi ride. The building looks a bit unassuming at first but is lovely. Due to my tattoos I did not use the onsen, but there is one available at times. They helped with filling out the Yamoto luggage service form (waybill) which is always super nice for the first time! Close walk from Kiyomizu-dera and Yasaka shrines - .come early in the morning or the evening to see less tourists on your way! I will most likely stay here again when I come back to Kyoto!

Overall this property was really nice. The staff were fantastic and increadibly friendly. It was also really close to the Gion district and shrines. It was a little farther from night life but the subway got you there quickly. Only issue I had was that the minisplit air conditioner really needed to be clean. I would guess it hasnt been cleaned in years which was concerning since it is right above the bed blowing directly onto you.

The blind had differing strips of fabric rather than a single sheet. This seems to have been designed for ground floor privacy usage rather a curtain or blind. It meant no could look in, not a problem on the 7th floor. However it still let it all the light. At 6am the room was brightly lit. Plus the single pane window meant all the street noise could easily be heard. The door to the room offered the same lack of protection and I could easily hear people talking in the hallway in the early morning.

The staff are very kind and polite. The location is excellent. I was able to walking to many points of interest. The room is good size and has enough amenities. I really liked the breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this property.
