Value for money. The location is adjacent to the station. Access everywhere is easier. From the room, there is a view of the fast train (shinkansen) that runs every minute.

This is a very nice hotel with spacious rooms. The location is very convenient with many shopping and dining options at the Kyoto station next door. The breakfast buffet was good but not great. The hotel needs to get rid of the check in kiosks as it is not convenient for guests and more of an annoyance.

Staff and property were great. We had a room above the train track which made it a bit noisy the first night but staff kindly moved us to a better room for the second night at no charge.

This is a lovely hotel with good size rooms. The location is right next to the train station which is fantastic for day trips but if your are more interested in the shops I would recommend stay closer to the downtown area. In saying this there is shops near by but not like being in downtown. The buffet, while being a good size with lots of variety including a lovely self serve ice-cream selection, does have a limited selection of western type food. Overall I would say this is a great hotel to stay at.

We stayed at the Kyoto Century Hotel and overall had a great experience. The location is incredibly convenient, just steps from Kyoto Station and close to restaurants, shops, and convenience stores. The lobby is beautiful, and the staff were outstanding—professional, friendly, and helpful. I give them a full 5 out of 5 stars. The rooms are small, as is typical in Japan, and not ideal for more than two people—three would be a tight fit. There’s very limited space for clothes, so be prepared to get creative with storage. That said, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean and functional. The hotel has one restaurant, which was fine but not especially memorable. We mostly opted to eat at nearby places. The only downside was a weird smell in the hallway during the first few days. At first, I thought it was from the restaurant, but I later realized it might be some kind of deodorizer—very strong and spicy-smelling. My daughter actually liked it, but it was off-putting to me. Thankfully, it didn’t linger inside the rooms. Overall, this is a great place to stay if you want convenience, comfort, and top-notch service. Just expect small rooms and pack lightly!

The Kyoto Century Hotel is a fantastic establishment. Staff are friendly, attentive and courteous. Rooms have king sized bed, mini fridge and the hotel provide yukata. The only snag we had was with the check-in process. Check-in is at 3pm and the hotel uses a self check-in computer kiosk (there is only 3 of them). It's a little overwhelming having only 3 kiosks and all the hotel guests trying to check-in all at once. But staff are there to help streamline the process as best as they can. Not the end of the world. You are however able to check your luggage in with the hotel before check-in time if you arrive early and your luggage will be waiting for you in your room. Hotel location is minutes walk away from the Kyoto Station and shopping district. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Kyoto Century Hotel.

Other hotels provide more personal care items than this one. The shower design in Room 488 is not user-friendly; I have to hold the shower head to wash my hair.
