I stay in this hotel for 3 nights, 3 rooms, with my big family consist of 9 adult and 2 kids, this hotel is more than awesome! everything is just perfect, the location is strategic near Nishiki market just by walk. Convenient store is just around, 150 meters is Lawson, 350 meters is Family Mart. Staff in receptionist is very kind and helpful. The room is great. I definitely stay there again when I visit Kyoto next time!

Perfect location for our stay in Kyoto. Walking distance to do many things we wanted to see plus instant access to markets just steps away. Very quiet hotel and room. Awesome shower. Nice to have amenities like on site laundry, kitchen and living area and water dispenser, an attached coffee shop, and pajamas and complimentary toiletries.

Had a wonderful stay at the Tsugu hotel. It is very conveniently located: close to subway and bus, and walking distance to Teramachi and Nishiki markets.
Really liked the neighborhood of the hotel. The streets have kept this old charm that is quintessential to Kyoto.
We stayed in a Japanese style room, it was roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed the shared "living space" with the fully stocked kitchen.
Service was great. The front desk staff helped us check on restaurant reservation and set up the luggage delivery to our next hotel.
The only minus was the washing machines which were a bit old. Their spin cycle would still leave the clothes very wet, so machine drying took 2 hours.

Excellent property. We stayed at one of the room with the bunk beds and actually enjoyed the relaxation and privacy even though we are are a family of four with 2 adult children !

This hotel was a 10 out of 10. Probably the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at. The cleanliness and staff were top notch. The aesthetic, functionality, and eco-consciousness of this hotel was unmatched. The design, room space and kitchen amenities were great. We would stay here over again and are already missing it now that we’re back in Tokyo.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The location was fantastic, easy walking to the station with our bags, but also walking to the tourist sites, restaurants and shops around it. Booked a room with the loft bunks. So spacious, even had a lounge area and table to sit at. The kids loved the bunks and the space to have bags out, space to hang coats and to hang out after long days etc. The hotel provides a kitchen and lounge space which was great to have our breakfast at, and I saw others eating take away food for dinner in there as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the space in the room, cleanliness, polite staff and great location.

Wonderful shared kitchen / reading spot, unique room with bunk-nooks, friendly staff, incredibly clean, all with a modern clean artsy minimalist vibe. Location allows you to wander endlessly through amazing streets packed with great food and amazing stores. Breakfast option is a YES. Highly recommended!

We stayed in a Superior Loft room which was very spacious and comfortable for 3-4 people. Hotel is in a great location and walkable to lots of places of interest. Close to plenty of shops, restaurants and subway but in a quiet street away from the big crowds. Cool, calm and quiet space to relax in at the end of a busy day, with very friendly service.

The style and atmosphere of this hotel was great and the location made it very easy for us to get around.
It's not super close to a metro/train but it's still walkable and there are a lot of things to do/eat/shop within walking distance too.
I was really happy with our room; it was the largest of the 4 hotels we stayed at during our visit.
I'd note that the cafe/restaurant inside the hotel wasn't so impressive. You can't sit there if only one of you is getting food and drink, you're made to both order something and everything is way overpriced (>AU$8.00 for a little glass of ginger ale, with a plastic straw which isn't cool).
