My stay was an amazing one from an amazing reception by Mr Eliud and the entire team not forgetting Mr Wycliffe from the restaurant department and his entire crew. I enjoyed the place and the other reason why the Zehneria stands out is it location being close to most of the places you would wish to visit around Nairobi

This property is very close to neighborhoods with restaurants, bars, and entertainment, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The accommodations were not fancy, but very comfortable and met all of our needs. For the price, I think this hotel is a good value and we enjoyed our stay.

Overall, it was a very good stay.
However, the flow of water from the shower was all around the place, instead of directly down and the water did not heat that much, especially if you have to take a shower early morning.
Also, there were some problems with the curtain rails, which sometimes came off when pulling the curtains.

The property is run down and everything is falling apart inside
The housekeeping staff one morning just opened the door and started cleaning while I was asleep in bed!
When she was asked to return later she said "No I can't I have a staff meeting !"
Its a great price if you just need a bed for the night - but nothing else would make me go here again

The staff are friendly and helpful but the facilities are mediocre and dated. Rooms are smaller in size compared to similar priced hotels I've stayed in Nairobi. The bathroom is poorly designed. Housekeeping didn't change my bedsheets even though I was there for over a week. The location is good with two major malls close by. The restaurant service is good but the food was average and inauthentic at its best (no Thai flavors in the green curry, was closer to a pesto sauce). This was surprising as the reviews online praised the restaurant and chef but that wasn't my experience. Internet was solid, no complaints there. Overall, too many small things that were wrong which made it a mediocre experience (3 out of 5).

The bathrooms require urgent repair and renovation work. The room we were given was not even cleaned properly and had to request another room. Housekeeping did poor cleaning job the next day and the place is infested with mosquitoes.

I highly recommend Zehneria Portico! Other than staff not replying to emails in a timely fashion in my weeks leading up to my stay, id say this place in top notch!
