The price is reasonable for 4 pax 1 room but the cleanliness for the toilet is very dirty. The floors are slippery and have stain on it. When I check in there there were no towels and floor floor mate to dry our legs after our shower. We have to call to request 2 to 3 times.

Great central location ! Easy access from everywhere. There is a connecting corridor to adjacent hotel which is located on the main road.

The room is clean and tidy. We stayed at the 20th floor. Very pleasing. The receptionist was very helpful when we asked about the places we wanted to go, they search in the internet for us.

A guy was rude during check in time and don’t have hospitality service skill. How he can be a gsm or supervisor? Please train him how to serve a guest and teach him what is that hospitality industry. House keeping please tell maid to check bedsheet pillow and pillow case. During that day we found it blood stains on pillow and pillow case.

This hotel has no idea of what a good customer service is and it appears that they are unwilling to accept any compromise and take responsibility as the occasion arise when the guest has requested a service which is reasonably expected of a 3-star hotel. The following is an account of my bad experience with the hotel: 1. Upon check-in, I asked if I could use the swimming pool from the next hotel, St. Regis as both hotels are in the same building. *I was knowingly aware that both hotels are under the same hotel chain or group of companies. 2. The front office reception rebuked my request and claimed that both hotels are not from the same group of companies, nor they are managed by the same management company. 3. It appears to me however that the hotel intended to make a false statement which had misrepresented and misled the guest and was therefore liable for any misconduct or dishonest public act. 4. In fact, as I pointed out evidently that a review had been shared by a previous guest who was given the privilege to use the swimming pool at St. Regis hotel without cost. In another case where a guest had been transferred to St. Regis when the hotel had been fully booked on the day of check-in. 5. Several calls had been made to the back end office, hoping any positive response would turn in my favour . But nothing came quite like this other than more disappointments and so much reluctance to compromise as far as the hotel stood firm by its decision is concerned. This is the kind of unfair treatment I would never expect to receive from a hotel which abused its position to discriminate the guest from further engagements to settle on the disputed matter in question. My rights as a consumer had been completely denied!!! 6. In the end, I managed to get hold of the Duty Manager who at first was very reluctant to compromise but finally cede to my demands and apologise for any inconvenience caused to the guest which was much regretted. 7. Other than so much discontents with the 'human' issue this hotel is getting at, the hardware of the hotel are not particularly exciting either, one which you would never consider staying again in your next trip. The room is too small to be able to move around, the roller bed is awful which is so unstable to ensure a good sleep - and it just feels so much like a sick bed in the hospital! The bathroom and the basin are just not looking alright - beware of the danger of falling glasses on the basin as the basin space is just too small to place anything else. Also, you might come across some dirty laundry pillow cases or bed sheets with stains on them which the housekeeping claimed to have been overlooked or could not be bothered to change, so blame the laundry and not them? 8. There is no much choice for breakfast generally when it comes to a budget hotel like this which doesn't afford the kind of great dining experience expected from a 3-star hotel some of you might have experienced in Thailand. I think this must have been the reasons why tourists love Thailand more or less - great food, plenty of choices, affordable and cheaper prices. I just can't find any great value out of my local holiday trips! 9. The front office reception is not the nicest people to deal with. They didn't mention about the breakfast and where to dine at all. You have to ask around in this case. As inexperienced as they appear to be, I think there is a general lack of interest in delivering good service which is usually accompanied by strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to deliver just that exceptional experience. The service mindset, or servitude mentality is far from better. Even when I spoke with the Duty Manager, I just got her a sense of lacking interest in dealing with demanding guests and nothing much could be said perhaps because she is restricted by her own protocol, the so-called hotel policy, which would only pose more problems than resolving the matter. In this case, the hotel should be more transparent and come even handed when dealing with its own terms and communications. Customers value open-minded and reasonable approach more than the hostile management rules and double standards.

I liked staying at this hotel. It was strategic (only 5 mins to Komtar) and the service was great although the room is a bit small. Would probably come back here when I go to Penang in the future.

The rooms were full booked when we arrived, but then they referred us to St Giles Wembley Hotel_four stars hotel. Free upgrade. Happy lah :D

Cititel hotel, I think best hotel in Penang and the best price. I stay in this hotel 3D2N. Near Komtar Cititel hotel merger with St. Wembley Hotel Building. If we stay in Cititel Hotel, we can use the facility in St. Wembley Hotel, like Swiming pool, and Gym. So far away, I really like it for this hotel. If I am back to Penang, I will be stay in this hotel again. Very recommended for traveling, honeymoon and bussinees propose.
