We really enjoyed our stay at the Embassy in Valletta – the hotel is lovely, the rooms are very comfortable, and most of the staff were pleasant and professional.
Unfortunately, our experience was let down by the rooftop manager, who was consistently rude and dismissive. When we tried to book a table from our room, we were told none were available, only to find many empty when we went up. We were then seated awkwardly in a corner. When I asked to book for the next night, I was told it was “impossible – absolutely not” as it was “for hotel guests only”. I clarified that we had already been staying for three nights, to which she replied, “Why didn’t you say?” – despite it being the second time I had. A complimentary drink was offered after that incident, but it didn’t make up for the repeated unpleasantness and witnessing her argue with other staff in front of guests.
We also had an issue with parking – we were told part of the fee would be waived (as it had been on other days), but realised it wasn’t when we reached the car park in a rush to leave. The hotel apologised over email but didn’t offer a refund.

Great location, lovely rooftop pool & restaurant, very helpful staff.
Rooftop Restaurant/Bar is open to non residents and not very large so can be very busy and difficult for residents to get a table, through staff try to be helpful.

Very central hotel and comfortable. Nice to have access to the small pool, although gets really busy and not always somewhere to sit. Biggest issue was the noise late at night from Thursday to Sunday, with live music and singing in the streets below. I do feel that should be mentioned on the website.

heart of Valletta. Other reviews were negative about the noise levels. We were on the lowest floor and the soundproofing was excellent. Could barely hear the lively cafes, bars, nightlife. Views from rooftop pool and sun lounge were fantastic.

Mostly very good - things that stood out were breakfast food and breakfast waiters’ excellent service; rooftop terraces (two levels); generally “fresh” condition of the premises. Minor irritants: refusal to provide a second chair in the room (as if occupants had to take turns sitting…which seems a bit rich at 300 euro/night) and street music from bars until about 11pm on most evenings. Again, very satisfactory overall.

Amazing patio in our room. Rooftop bar view of the cathedral is amazing. Staff and service could not be better. Location for restaurants, bars and the ferry was perfect. We can’t wait to return to this wonderful hotel !

Excellent hotel. Staff were very polite and would help with any request. Rooftop was beautiful. Location excellent- right in the heart of Valletta.. the only downside to that being a few noisy nights where there was live music in the local bars. Other than that can’t fault it and it’s the price you pay for the amazing location!

We had an issue on the first night, and the receptionist managed to sorted it all out for us once raised. He was very apologetic for something that was out of their control but we’re grateful that he was able to accommodate. In fact the reception team during our stay were great.
If I was to criticise, as we went during a low peak season, some facilities were out of use and the breakfast selections wasn’t as good for a 4* as I would have expected. With that being said, a gentleman in a white shirt who greeted us every morning throughout our stay at the breakfast room was great! He always had a smile, and ensured we were looked after.
Overall, the location of the hotel was great and the staff made it enjoyable.

Hotel is in a wonderful location. Fortunately, while I was there, they were doing construction on the top floor, where the dining room overlooking the city is located. So I really didn’t get a chance to enjoy that. Also, workers were going up and down the elevator. I guess that they have to do this work during a slow. But, it is a bit disruptive. I have to say the attention from the customer service manager Was not worthy. She connected with me after my check-in and I expressed my concern. The buffet included with breakfast is nice, the rooms are nice, and most importantly it’s a great location that is walkable to everything in old city Valletta. All in all, I enjoyed a nice day, but would likely look at another hotel if I return. I think the construction will be completed towards the end of January. You might want to check with the hotel before you do your booking.
