Barceló Karmina All Inclusive

The hotel itself is a real beauty, grounds are well kept and they are clean. Lots of pools for everyone, any age, bars were also good. Buffet restaurant(Bugambilias) is very good, and a la carte restaurants were also good.

Best experience ! Beach access can be a little rocky in most spots & is a bit small but great experience nonetheless.

The hotel and pool areas were beautiful, and the staff from the beach bar were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the front desk stuff was not the most helpful and had a bad, rude attitude. Starting with being in the line (for both check-in and check-out) and openly being skipped by the front desk staff and letting other customers go in front of me. Then, charging almost $6,000 mx pesos to add a person to my room for only 1 night! Finally, I still had hope for the front desk staff and the day before checking-out I asked if I could do a late checkout… their answer, almost $500 mx pesos PER HOUR!!! The hotel barely had customers (more than half of the rooms seemed to be available), so they had availability with no problem to let a customer checkout a little late. The staff said that members have more privileges, like late checkout, so if you’re not a member (like me) they treat you like they’re doing you a favor by staying with them. At that point I gave up, and I was more than happy to checkout early and get out of the asap before they emptied my wallet!! This hotel wants to charge you for everything and anything (even though it is an “all inclusive” hotel. Total ripoff :( There won’t be a next time in this hotel. P.S. the food was OK, not impressed.

Family friendly, relaxing and good vibes.

There are only 3 restaurants and were closed or booked during my stay. The food was ok and the variety very limited.

I came to check in at 3:00 and received my room key and info roughly an hour later, it should not have taken an hour to get checked in... The food lacked spices and flavor. Staff is polite but when checking in staff did not inform us entirely of what's included and forgot to give us the info page and inform us on the restaurant reservation requirements

We only stayed here a night as we stayed nearby with relatives but this place is amazing! Definitely coming back and staying longer

Excellent customer service

Everything is very nice and clean. Can't beat the all inclusive deal. You have everything you need within the resort. Clean pools clean garden areas. Everything was very nice.

My favorite place to go. Been there a few times.everything from the food, entertainment, very friendly stuff including the iguanas very friendly pets. Definitely recommend, I will go back in the near future 👍

Loved the property, gorgeous view, not too packed which I appreciate. Hydromassage pool was a nice treat. Disco at night as fun. The only suggestion would be to add conditioner and body lotion/cream to the hotel rooms- its standard and was surprising to not find it in my room- OR available to purchase (gift shop did not have it either).

While I was walking around I asked for directions to get somewhere and I met a housekeeper named Ramona. She was very nice so I chatted her up and she was so sweet. It made me feel like I was talking to a relative. She was a highlight of my vacation. The only odd thing was they made me pay for 50 pesos For a small glass that broke and I thought that was so weird after spending over $2000 per a few days vacation. Usually and for diamond hotels that’s not usually a problem. They just handle it instead of reprimanding you for breaking it on accident.
