Lagùn Hotel

Lagun hotel has violated environmental law by discharging its waste water which has caused the city to post a notice at their entry way (see picture.) Additionally, the hotel has also allegedly repetitively violated local privacy laws by publishing the full name of every single guest (including minors) in huge writing on a screen in the lobby. When asked to have our names removed we were laughed at. As a mom traveling with a nine year old I prefer not to have our names known to every single person that enters the hotel! They forgot to replace our towels THREE TIMES and when we called or saw an employee to ask we were told to wait 40-45 minutes. This was always when we returned to the room from a tour where we were swimming and being in the sun all day we just want to take a shower instead of hanging out in the room with sand still on us while waiting for towels. The coffee was basically like water (there is an excellent coffee shop about a 4 minutes walk away) and breakfast overall was not the best. The music at the pool is too loud to actually enjoy it. Everyone at the pool asked for the music to be lowered but the employee ignored every single guest. The room smelled moldy and I suspect that the wallpaper is there to hide whatever is behind. The common area (lobby, elevator, hallway, pool) were not the cleanest. We left our room after they mopped the hallway and it smelled really bad like they reuse the water over and over again.

Great stay, friendly staff, breakfast buffet was good, a bit predictable having the same thing basically every morning. The only complaint would be the shower was a bit moldy and there was nowhere to hang your towels. Also the shower is basically visible to entire room if and no separate place to change, so if you are sharing a room with someone you don’t want to be unclothed in front of it makes it inconvenient. Otherwise a great place.

The free breakfast buffet was amazing every day we stayed here. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating! Definitely one of the nicest hotels you could stay at in El Nido!

2nd time I stayed here and both for the infinity pool and views. Excellent service by staff as always. Always clean and love the breakfast buffet.

The staff in the restaurant, front desk and bar and everyone try their best to make your stay feel comfortable. The location it's 10 min walk from El Nido center where the action is happening. Hotel is good the ac and wifi needs improvement. The breakfast was delicious, included with your stay and you have selection of food. I recommend to take at least El Nido C tour.

We had trouble since we checked in at the Hotel. Room was dirty and stinky, we requested to change duvet, towels and pillowcases. Very disappointing. Also tv wasn’t working at all, they couldn’t fix it during our stay. Bathroom uncomfortable and shady. The only good thing was the pool at the top floor with a nice view.

Great views from the pool. Wonderful and friendly staff. The property presents beautifully but our rooms furniture was a little aged. Beds were comfy, A/C worked. There was a type of very small fridge style thing but it was barely keeping anything cold. Shower and toilet are separate which makes the shower a little smaller. The breakfast had a nice variety.

The property is very nice, and the staff are friendly and responsive—they were able to address all my requests promptly. The rooms and restrooms are decent and well-maintained. The only minor drawback was the internet connectivity. Guests are required to request a voucher for access, which can be a bit of a hassle. Additionally, the internet vouchers are limited, so it’s not truly free Wi-Fi for everyone. The TV service also relies on the internet, so it often doesn’t work unless you have an active voucher. Despite these inconveniences, I’m giving the hotel 4 stars mainly because of the excellent customer service

Excellent all around! Breakfast was delish. Was able to use the shower even after we checked out and after our tour! Staff are the best.

The property is stunning and the staff is very friendly. If I ever come back to El Nido, this is definitely the place to stay. The A/C worked well which isn’t always the case with many hotels around Palawan. 10/10 experience and I highly recommend for a group of 4 to comfortably stay in El Nido. It’s walkable distance from many restaurants and the main port is only a 10 min walk. Thank you guys for a great stay!

This will be my 5th time staying at this property, mainly because of location and the staff. They’re really personable, welcoming, very accommodating. The property could use a little bit of TLC. TVs did not work properly nor did the wifi in the rooms and other parts of the hotel. Beach towels are a lot smaller this time around. And we had a leak in the ceiling. Other than that it’s still a prime spot.

Hotel is in a great location, very short walk or tuk tuk ride to the beach, restaurants and shopping in El Nido. AC works and hotel is mostly cool. Pool is great and has a beautiful view of El Nido and the ocean. Rooms were tiny, I felt catfished by the photos. Bathroom and shower have frosted glass doors and not super private. The rooms also had sugar ants in the bathroom and on the tables. The window overlooked someone’s house and the roosters started crowing at 5:30am (around sunrise). The hotel was similarly priced to others in the area and we will find a different hotel to stay at next time. All that said, we travel to El Nido often and typically find the accommodations to be rustic. Food was ok. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They also have towels for the pool and beach.

This hotel was the perfect stay for my friend and I, we had just finished the boat expedition from Coron to El Nido & we were looking for a nice place to relax. We were greeted by the most friendly staff who checked us in quickly. Nice shower and bathroom however, the toilet wasn’t filling properly after we flushed so I often found myself having to fill it with the hose. Very comfortable beds. Spotty wifi at times, our first day the wifi wasn’t working well in our room or lobby but after midnight it began to work much better & didn’t really have much of a problem with the wifi for the rest of our stay. The hotel is in a great location, situated along the main road so we were walking distance from all the shops and restaurants
