Tempus Hotel & Spa

Carpet was a bit old and dirt and really brought down the quality of the place. Everything else was fine but the carpet gave a yucky feeling so I wouldn’t come back until they have proper flooring. The breakfast had a good selection but I wish they didn’t have the weird rule of not allowing to have breakfast in the outside area which is just next to the breakfast area. Apartment lot it was the “boss’s rules”. Are we children and not allowed outside with the pretty view? The swimming pool and spa was good and not very busy.

We stayed in the suites, which were huge. I think there’s only one on each floor. It was a lot of volume to cool, but the Air conditioning was able to work really well in one of our two rooms and it worked OK in the other. Considering that we were sleeping 4 people in each room, he should’ve had a better sofa bed. The slots were so bent and broken, and the mattress is only like 2 inches thick. My teenage son did not get a good nights sleep because of this. They were nice enough to bring a second 2 inch mattress making it thicker but it was still sagging. Considering these were suites of the hotel, they should have the nicest mattresses for the sofa bed. Then one of my other teenage son slept in the second night and his back and shoulder were sore for days. Property itself is beautiful with the swimming pool and the incredible views. The staff was nice. I think they just need to address the sofa bed issue. Sleep is usually the number one priority for travelers.

The property is such a hidden gem, a quite get away but a 10 min drive into town, the staff was so helpful and kind.

Excelente estadia com um quarto espaçoso, pequeno almoço muito saboroso e um bom spa. No entanto, é de salientar que devido a algum tipo de falha, tanto a internet como a televisão não funcionavam e o hotel precisa seriamente de manutenção pois toda a mobília e carpetes se encontram visivelmente em mau estado.

property needed maintenance, our light switch didn't work and though we told them at 4 pm they still hadn't come by 9:30PM. said they would try to come after dinner service was over maybe after 10 PM. the bathroom handle was broken, one of the toilet flushers didn't work and safe didn't work. No water supplied for drinking in the room. I asked for a blanket but they didn't have any.

A good stay, the staff was very friendly. Breakfast can be improved. Not many options for a vegan. As easy fix whit all vegan items that are available and very common that can replace "common" dairy products, from milk, butter or cheese.

Super location, great price, excellent service all round, from the Welcome to the Bar and Dinner....all tip-top. Spa facilities were an extra added bonus! Highly recommended

We had a great time. With the nice weather we spent most time on the outside swimming pool but have also used the Spa a couple of times and really enjoyed. Staff was friendly. The internet signal was a bit hit and miss in the room. We will be back.

Brilliant place

Our experience at the Tempus Hotel & Spa was wonderful - great rooms, a good spa (though no treatments available on the days that we stayed) and a great restaurant. The rooms are large and the bathroom equipped with a multi jet "spa style" shower arrangement. The beds are comfortable - and my wife just loved the pillows. The best night sleep that she's had for some time. There are two swimming pools - one inside and one out doors. The surrounding area is grassed over. The hotel is set in the countryside -so no road noise and pleasantly sedate. We dined at the Tempus restaurant on one of our two nights there. A great selection of dished and wines. Good food and great service. Will definitely consider returning again.

Nice views, good location. Carpet needs updating,chairs in dinning room need updating. Spacious rooms and great showers.

A Wow! Great stay! Very spacious, modern and beautiful room, with a nice balcony looking over the lovely garden, the village and more. Outstanding bathroom! Very big and good bed. Amazing Spa. Excellent quality of breakfast, served in a lovely restaurant at the Hotel.

Enjoyed my stay at Tempus. Modern accommodations and a quite time. Would recommend for those that want to get away.

We were expecting a relaxing stay at a spa, and what we received was a disappointing stay at a mediocre family resort. I don't expect noisy kids to be splashing me at a spa hotel marketed as calm and relaxing. Though the hotel ad seems to emphasize its zen aesthetic, there is nothing zen about screaming children. Inside, the spa facilities were adequate for a very small number of people, and were eventually activated for us after several calls to reception and a long wait on hold. Throughout the hotel, the white wash decor was marked and dirty in many places, showing dire need for a fresh coat of paint. The chair outside our room was broken, and the maintenance staff found it more convenient to lean it up against the wall to hide its defect than to remove it. The air-conditioning in the room was extremely weak, and automatically shut-off when we left the room; the curtains were broken; and the room was cleaned, inconveniently, from 5PM to 6PM daily. Room service food was unpalatable, and the one time we ordered a drink poolside, we discovered after a 30 minute wait that the lone bartender had to travel from inside the hotel bar on the second floor all the way outside to the pool on the first floor, for every order that he filled. It was 42 degrees celsius outside! Understaffing was an obvious problem, and I never once saw a manager who was managing. Do not stay at this resort if you are looking for a romantic stay, or a calm and relaxing few days at the spa.

Beautiful room with patio poolside. Lovely grounds and setting. Beautiful dining room. Needs a fitness room and more spa activities. Few staff speak English- dining room staff seemed untrained. Excellent manager but need more English speaking staff to attract more Americans. Gentleman in the bar was very helpful to us in Organizing glassware and cheese platter to have in our room.

Nice and clean experience. Nice staff, spa and dinning room. Good food.

We were pleased with our room - very modern fittings etc. My wife much enjoyed the pool and we were impressed with the grounds. Breakfast was fine especially as there were not many other guests.
