Mori Hostel Singapore

I heard bad reviews on multiple platforms so I was a bit suspicious. However the stay was satisfactory. The location is ok, near bus stops and MRT. Facility is acceptable, not the best quality but would not hurt for a night or two. Staff was friendly enough.

Bad. It's not clean as expected/photo. The condition of the room is damp, the sheets look crumpled and not clean. Position the room at the end of the hall adjacent to the shared bathroom / toilet. This hostel is the worst I have ever been in and the price is not cheap. I only overnight and the next day immediately moved to the hotel.

Room shared with the others with bunk bed, as expected from traveller hostel Clean bathroom, each level have minimal 1 WC and 1 shower room. Have pantry, breakfast with corn flakes or toast

My stay in Mori Hostel was totally satisfying and awesome. It is conveniently located near Farrer Park which is just a walking distance. The vicinity itself is dotted with temples perfect for sightseeing and walking. It is also near to Little india which is also famous with tourist spots and hawker centers. There is also free breakfast consists of toast, jams and butter as well as lots of coffee and tea all day. There is also free shampoo and body wash.

so shame I didn't took a picture when I was stay there last nite. approximately, bed it's comfort, bedroom and toilet it's so clean👍👍

comfortable, clean, and friendly people

I was late check in around 00.30 am due to singapore airline delayed.i didn't get any notification both from hotel about late check in confirmation. I was waiting around 1 hour to find someone who could enter in. And yes, my name was on the table with the key in reception room. Lucky I met someone, if no, I need to find another hotel nearby. The room was old and dirty. The bedsheet wasn't change so I felt itchy and couldn't sleep whole night. No water fountain so I couldn't find water, finding machine didn't work. What a worst day. The breakfast place wasn't that nice but they served bread, and sereal + milk. I think it was pretty good. But hot water didn't work. This place is not too far from mrt. The bed is good enough. Soft and comfortable. Second day was great, I asked to change the bedsheet and blanket. I had a super nice sleep. Thank you mori.

I was terrified with some reviews here saying that this place is terrible or whatevs but hey, it’s not that bad ^^. For those who are looking for low budget place to stay, this hostel might be one of your choices. But yep, since this is low budget don’t expect too much from it. Based on my experience and refer to other reviews, yes you need to cover your own bed once you arrived and don’t get too attached to the display photo since it’s 180 degree different from it 😂. FYI, it takes around 15-20 mins walking from the nearest MRT station (Farrer Park - Purple Line). But, overall, it was all good staying here. The receptionist lady is quite patient and nice. They provided light breakfast such as cereals and toast in the morning with coffee and tea, but make sure you wake up early or not getting any of it. Bring your own toiletries since they don’t provide it. I was in a room with 5 beds in the 1st floor. For your safety bring your own padlock to lock the luggages and locker. Definitely a good choice for backpackers. Happy holiday!

Location: 7 minutes walk from the Farrer Park station and a bit secluded. If you're willing to walk for 15 minutes, Little India and all its gems is reachable by foot. Walk a bit further and you'll reach the Selegie-Rochor area easily. Cleanliness: Decent, there is housekeeping every afternoon and the management have clear rules for cleanliness. The washrooms are also well-cleaned. Pray that you have good tenants and you will generally be alright. Service: Staff is attentive and friendly. Comfort: The photos provided on the website are highly misleading. The walls and floors are made of concrete, which made a prison-y vibe that is far from what the website advertises. They have warm reading lights, universal sockets, and a small rack beside each bed, albeit mine wasn't working. Because there's no window, air circulation comes only from the air conditioner, and it gets damp pretty easily when you have tenants hanging dripping wet clothes inside the room (I was unlucky to have them in my room a few times). Overall, I had a good stay, but if I ever visit Singapore again, I would choose another hostel.
