However, do note of the location and time when hailing down a taxi, as there are surcharges at certain places and time, especially during peak hours and after midnight. For a cheaper alternative, one can take an MRT train on the East-West Line. There is an MRT station, the Tanjong Pagar MRT station, located not far from the Orchid Hotel and it serves the East-West Line.
