Great place. great staff. great service.
The staff said there is no tag for luggage deposit as the guest didn't paid for them. The only one thing I get from their non-smile face after I checked out and want to leave the luggage for a few hours after then. There is no changing of bedsheets.

Not sure on the staff
What a bad end to what was quite a pleasant stay. 2 days prior to leaving I asked at reception about the free shuttle bus which they state is available to guests. They told me this only ran from 10am but they would book me a shuttle for 4am for 9SGD. I accepted this price. I was told by the gentlemen to confirm the following day the booking had been made and what time pick up was. So I did this and was told booking had been made and I would need to be outside by 3.45. I was actually outside at 3.30 and waited an hour for not bus to arrive. One of them staff was staying over night and was woken by a drunk man. He came outside to check if I was ok and mentioned about he bus. He checked his phone and confirmed that a bus hadn’t even been booked for me! So rather than paying 9SGD I had to pay 23SGD to get a taxi. Save to say I am not happy about this. The accommodation itself is quite basic but clean. What I didn’t like was the shower over the toilet. Breakfast was either , toast, cereal or sandwich. The hostel is perfectly located in China Town. If you’re looking for a good social vibe I wouldn’t recommend this hostel. Most people don’t seem to socialise

The location was central to everything- restaurants, tourist places, public transportation, shopping centers, money exchange were all walk-able distance away. The staff was friendly, we reach the hotel really early and they allowed us to leave our luggage and freshen up, gave us directions. The sleeping pods were clean and really well maintained; they came with their own TV and individual lockers with electronic locks. The cleaning lady ensured the common areas, bathroom and showers were cleaned at regular intervals, took pictures of the cleaned area and sent them to the owners of the hostel. That’s excellent service.

Not that great
We stayed here for 2 nights (not consecutive.) on the first night we had landed at 1am and we contacted the hostel to say we were on our way. We arrived and everything was locked up so we were walking round the street trying to work out what to do when we came across 'chic' we went in and the guy asked if we had made a booking we said no (because we were in the wrong hostel) but it turned out they were partners so they could find our booking for us. As you can imagine we were tired from flying and it was now about 2am so we just wanted to get to bed. We finally got into our room at 2:50 as the guy was faffing so much. He offered for us to stay in the capsule beds at a cheaper rate so we agreed and off we went. The capsules were cool but very small, I'm 5ft 4 and I could just about fit in with my head at one end and feet touching the other. Overall they were fine for one night. On our second night we had a standard room with 4 beds. There was no lockers in our room just draws which you needed to padlock for yourself. The staff don't speak much English so there are communication errors at times but it is to be expected. A massive plus of this place is the free airport shuttle they offer at 10am and 3pm everyday. We took the 10am and as there was only 4 of us going they organised an uber for us. The breakfast was toast or cereal, not a great selection.

Good value, great service
Mike took care of my brother and I when we chose to stay here. For the price we paid, the value was outstanding, which even includes an airport shuttle when you leave (included). For backpackers looking for a super convenient and central location with great value, look no further. My only constructive feedback would be that the towels smelled a bit damp so if this area could be improved, that would be amazing.

We were a group of 8 friends, we stayed for 2 nights, all was good. Since the manager, very helpfull, the breakfast was good and the ar conditioned worked very well (wich is very important in singapore). We recomend it so we are going to stay there one more night in the end of the vacations.
