I truly feel that this gem of a hotel is underrated. The quality of the rooms are kept well despite the age of the property. More importantly the service remains outstanding and one will definitely feel at home once checked in. It feels like 5 stars but you pay for less. The distance to some of the best Chinese food is only a stones throw away and the MRT is closely. If you crave hawker dining then one of the best in town is just across the road at Maxwell. Once the new MRT station opens this year I'm sure this hotel will be packed for sure!

Booked a Premium Room which had a bathtub and balcony for my fiancè's birthday. Bathroom and room itself was very clean. Toiletries were provided which included a pack of bath salts for bath soak. Bed and bathrobes were very comfortable, clean and crisp linens too. Lovely ambiance throughout the entire hotel. Definitely would come back to The Scarlet again! I would like to commend Nigel and the other gentleman who checked me in, who answered most of my queries and fulfilled most of my requests! Thank you The Scarlet, I will be coming back!

We checked in early around 12 SG time, and they still processed us to get into the room. The staff were very friendly & very helpful, drinks & snacks were free to take in the lobby, also in the room. The location of the hotel is very strategic, across from Maxwell & Chinatown MRT, near the food center, many cozy restaurants/cafes. Next trip to SG we will stay at Scarlett again. Thank you Traveloka 👍👍👍

Hotel room has limited to no mobile coverage, has to use hotel wifi for internet use. Hotel put me use with room with weird trapezoidal angle, prone to colliding with corners. No hot shower on second day, both in the morning and before check out. Room has a nightlight on the room, which is bordersome for me. Bed hard as a rock, need to put a mattress pad for comfortable sleep. I can't anything below two for the accommodation, so I rate it here-all zero rating except for location which I rate it 4 due to proximity to public transport and F&B outlets. Also night staff are rude when asking for ice. Hotel also unable to provide late check out option.

The deluxe room does not come with windows thus it is a blackout ambience if lights off. However the good location and free mini bar have compensated for the room. Would I rebook this hotel again? Most probably not as I can get more value deals outside.

F**king bad. My friends and I were hanging out at the balcony, so obviously we wouldn’t hear any knocks on door nor the telephone ringing so the manager of the hotel, Mr. Johnathan barged into my room and raised his voice, talking down on us as if we were kids. They could have called us on our mobile phones but nope they decided that it's best to just barged into the room🙄. And we were fine $200 just because Mr. Johnathan smelled cigarettes in the room. We were informed beforehand that if we were caught smoking in the room, we would be fined but we didn't smoke nor were caught in the act of smoking. They didn't even bother to check the balcony to see any cigarettes. Yes we are smokers and of course, the smell would linger around us when we’ve smoked the whole day outside, and come on we are in an air-conditioned room. The next day when I went down to return scissors that I borrowed, I was told that I have to pay that fine and also my friend who checked in with me has a booking for one night for the next day, the staff said that if I didn't pay that fine they wouldn't let her check-in, this is already a threat and what fuckery is this. Her room has definitely got nothing to do with that fucking fine. I was so pissed off. When we requested a letter stating all the problems and inconveniences, they said they don't do that. All we wanted was a black and white agreement, and all we got was a receipt of the fine. If you wish to stay at the scarlet hotel, good luck to you.

Room was clean and cosy, amenities well-stocked, and the staff was polite and professional. (I believe his name was Nazir if I'm not wrong?) Really appreciate the gesture of upgrading my room to one with a balcony, my companion and I enjoyed having the extra space to unwind. Also well-equipped and were able to provide wine glasses and corkscrew upon request. :) Will love to come back again!

This is greatest location to food lover, drinker and traveller. It closes to Maxwell food centre, chinatown, temple and MRT. Also many good bar locates at ann siang road that behind this hotel. You can hang out on night and walk to sleep. But rather small size of room and narrow aisle.
