Balcony door cannot close properly in room 1101. Other than that, pleasant stay satisfied.

Was given a free upgrade to bigger room. Room was pretty big and cosy. Staff are very courteous and friendly. A great experience not to forget.

It 's ideally centered between an event venue I had to attend over the weekend and also nearby to my friend 's place for her wedding. Staffs were polite and approachable. Loved the hotel lobby and room 's interior: colourful, vibrant and cheerful. Facilities were more than I could have asked for. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

Our room is consistently wet and damp. Despite our feedbacks to the hotel they merely said it could be the aircon issue or due to the balcony door being opened. They just sent housekeeping to wipe the floor a few times and hours later the floor becomes wet again. No attempt to solve the root of the problem or follow up with us. It was so bad that we decided to check out earlier in the evening instead of the next day. We enjoyed exploring Katong but it left us with a bad staycation experience with Far East. Definitely not returning again.

I like Village Katong because of its convenient location. There were some glitches during the check in process. It was something about the difference between superior and deluxe room. I wanted 2 separate beds which I did mention when I booked. But they said it's based on availability and that their handicapped accessible rooms are those queen beds type. I have stayed in this place several times and I didn't know that they even had handicapped accessible rooms. But anyways after much struggle they allow me into the 2 twin superior room. When you looked at the detail actually there isn't much difference between the superior and deluxe. They are the same size! It's just the hotel's way of "marketing" their product to get more money I guess. Overall the place is clean but the amenities are not standardized. Some days you get 2 hand towels somedays you get one. And they don't change their sheets unless you place this card on the bed. I stayed here for a total of 11 nights and not even one complimentary. I guess the only thing that made me go back is that it's near my sister's place! The bald man with moustache, who is the concierge service man, is really polite, friendly and helpful. Everytime I stayed here, I am always glad to see him!

Shopping & Culinary
The hotel is awesome. Room is spacious. Free shuttle bus to and from Changi Airport. 10 mins walk to Parkway Parade shopping centre and reasonably priced.

Medical Travel
I was provided the requested room on the 7th floor. it was all good until I tried to make a phone call through the apps. It kept disconnecting on me. Signal was really weak in the room. Called the reception to complain about the matter and they said the IT will get back to me. They didn't until I had to call again and they put me through the IT department. The IT guy tried to help me by getting my IP so that I don't have to re login all the time for the Wifi but that didn't help either. The problem is the weak signal. Finally they gave me a mobile gadget as replacement but I had to sign a paper that state a $125 charge if the gadget is lost. I wouldn't be needing the gadget actually if only the wifi works! The mobile gadget can be brought outside the property which I did the next day. And it still didn't work! As for the room amenities like all hotels is pretty standard. I often stayed in V katong but this time they changed the bottled mineral water to a smaller size 300ml like those budget hotels. I was quite bummed about this since this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel right? They can't even provide larger bottled water? I checked the mattress and was appalled. There was blood stain on the mattress. It's like period stain from the previous guests. The bed pad protector under the sheet is not going to do the job protecting the mattress as it was way too small! I feel sorry for this hotel staff because I know how difficult it is to maintain the property if the guests don't care since they feel they paid for the services. But my note to the housekeeper though that stain needs to be removed quick or else it will be harder to clean.

Room was great, the amenities were wonderful, the gym was good and the breakfast was delicious! Check-in and check-out were a breeze!
