Hotel Kobos

The hotel is in really bad conditions, it's extremely dirty and I couldn't stay here because of how dirty it was. I booked for 5 nights but ended up only staying one and left to another hotel. The staff is really friendly, no issue with them. There were stains and dust everywhere, inside the room and in the hallway. Made everything feel unhygienic.

The location is good. The room we stayed in smelled strongly of cigarettes, no matter what we did. Great dining options in the area, and conveniently located to stores and the Han River. The staff was excellent.

The workers were so amazing and probably the friendliest I had ever had in Seoul. Always greeted us when coming and going. Good English and very kind.

The staff was Perfect! Friendly, helpful, accommodating, and English speaking! Bathroom was huge!

We were able to upgrade without ant hassle and it did not cost much. lovely staff and cleanliness.

The room in which I was staying had solid window (no glass) that would open next to a wall.. and you could hear the air conditioners fan.. which I very annoying. Since it wasnt a glass window and I cant open it, I have to stay in dark room for more than 2 weeks.

Great location, close to restaurants, convenient store and train station. This is a 2 to 3 star hotel, it is comfortable to sleep but nothing fancy. If you look for low price and clean room to sleep, this is a good choice.

Hotel Kobos was a great place for me to get some much needed rest. It was clean and orderly and met my expectations.

This is a very good value hotel in Seoul. Location is good and it is clean and convenient.

I had to change rooms twice due to some hair found on bedding. Manager explained that it is not easy to remove all hair from bedding. Tried to sleep but felt itch so checked out an hour later and went to another hotel. Didnt bother asking for a refund. Manager was friendly and apologetic.

The hotel was ok overall. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. However, it could be improved for a hotel at this range. There was only one bedside table so on one of the sides you couldn't leave your phone, for example. There were no bed lamps, only a switch next to the bed that would turn all the lights in the room on. There were no place for opening your luggage comfortably. The TV remote would not work with external sources like USB. The slippers provided were not disposable so I had my doubts there were properly cleaned after the previous customer used them. The room was clean but the furniture was dusty. The bathroom had a constant pipe bad smell and it was a bit dump due to lack of proper air circulation. The heating/air conditioning system was a bit complicated and it would reset to a high heat setting after leaving the room so it wasn't easy to set the proper temperature in the room. No one answer to the room phone the two times we tried to call reception and we had to call through a normal mobile phone. Amenities were good and free water/juice was provided. The location was good in terms of places to eat/drink/supermarket but not the best for tourists. Service was ok. The feeling was that it was more a motel than a hotel, to be honest.

Great location with many restaurants close by. About 5 minutes walk to subway and airport express bus.

I needed a place to stay in Seoul for a couple of days, and found a deal for this hotel. It’s relatively close to the subway, and the area has a lot of restaurants and bars to visit. There’s also some cultural places you can visit right across the street. The hotel is nice, though a bit oldish. The main issue is that there’s a persistent smell that I noticed the entire weekend. I don’t know If it was a problem for that weekend only, but if I had to guess, I’d say there’s something wrong with the sewage pipes in the hotel. It’s a noticeable, unpleasant odor considering overall, the hotel is quite clean. If it wasn’t for that, I would give this hotel five stars for the price I paid for it.

Great business hotel. Good heat and strong wifi. Comfortable bed. Only complaint is very hard floors
