AC Hotel Atocha by Marriott

Staff need to be more nice

We chose this location because of proximity to the train station. We got in late but were able to find food close by with a lot of locals and their kids. It felt very safe. Hotel was very quiet. Has a pretty garden area. We did not eat at the hotel (tight schedules) but people were commenting that the breakfast was good. Finding the room was a challenge and we had to ask 2 different people to help us. We had the king bedroom with a sofa and table area. The shower had great water pressure and full-body massaging spray heads. Tinted glass door on toilet area (that was cracked open) and obscured tinted glass wall on shower from main room so minimal privacy - if that bothers you. Staff was helpful in arranging taxi pickup for airport. I would like to note that although we are Marriott Bonvoy members - when you book through 3rd party - all privileges you may be used to - go out the door.

No luggage rack to put suitcases on. Have to go downstairs for ice from front desk. Buffet was good. No pool and small elevators. No luggage carts. No microwave. Good staff

Friendly staff, immaculately clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, great location, very quiet considering how close it is to Atocha train station. Great value for money. Would recommend.

A lovely room, a good size, clean and quiet. The breakfast is good and the staff very helpful. It’s 5 minutes walk from the station too.

Room was in disrepair, location is misleading and bath/shower is not private.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are a few bars/restaurant nearby but no shops that I saw.

Did not like the see-through shower located in the middle of the room. There is absolutely no privacy.

Very nice hotel and close to train station and walkable distance to nightlife. Room was nice (but small and didn't have a fresh clean smell).

The staff was so generous and patient with our group. They took such good care of us.

Very basic for a 4-star hotel. Really it's for business travellers staying for a day or two. Air con was poor, working but air flow was the issue. Fans on the highest setting but nothing much happening. Just about kept the room bearable during the heatwave! It's ok for an overnight stay but not really somewhere you would stay for an extended visit. Very good if you're planning on getting a train to or from Atocha however.

Everything was good. We were put in another building which needed to go out of the main building. Suggested more sign to direct the route to the other building.
