Sofraga is a very well-appointed hotel. The staff and service were great! The room was clean, Restaurant served great food. There is parking onsite for a fee. Great location in Avila, right by the wall.
My husband wishes he can stay longer and just be at the hotel. He considers Sofraga as one of his favorite hotel for its service, staff and room.

The building and grounds are beautifully maintained. Parts of the city wall are incorporated into the building. The old beams and brick and stonework inside makes it feel like being transported back in time except it still has the elegance and comfort of modern times.
The staff was amazing. They made sure we had everything we needed. When my mother wasn’t feeling well, they came to the room to check on her and offered to get her access to a pharmacy. They gave her extra water and even checked the room temperature to make sure she was comfortable. Very caring and professional.

Fantastic location and rooms are very comfy. The staff were all very friendly and spoke English well.
We had a great time in Avila and the fact that this is right at the castle gate and forms part of the castle wall makes this place so special as well as easy to get to.
Parking is secure and easy too.

This hotel is very well presented. The decor is lovely and the way they have fest the rooms is very impressive with exposed walls and roof beams. Not very many of the staff speak fluent English but they try hard and the reception always has a fluent English speaker. Anyway it was good for me to practice my Spanish.

A lovely welcome at reception from Carolina, very helpful and obviously happy in her work. A lovely lady. Food on outside terrace was excellent. I asked for a meal that was different to the menu, they happily provided. Superb service.

Great location, beautifully and sympathetically renovated building. Large bedroom would have benefited from a bath and luggage storage storage. Service in the outdoor cafeteria was slow, when when quiet and no food served at lunchtime. Outdoor seating was uncomfortable and nowhere to sit and relax. Main restaurant dinner was very pleasant.

Wonderful hotel, absolutely stunning. We had the presidential suite and it was the best room I have stayed in including very many 5* hotels around the world.
