I don’t understand how this property has such high ratings on Expedia because our experience was completely different. The photos and description do not reflect reality. We only needed an affordable place for one night and expected it to be clean and safe. Instead, we found a dirty apartment with stained furniture, dirty doors, a stained sofa, leaks in both the bathroom and the kitchen, and only one dirty fan despite the extreme heat. The apartment became so hot that sleeping was very difficult. We were told not to open the windows because flies would come in from the dumpsters right outside the entrance. The building itself felt poorly maintained, with dark unfinished areas that made us uncomfortable, and the street felt isolated at night. We did not even feel comfortable using the sofa because of how dirty it was. This was the worst accommodation experience I have ever had. I strongly recommend reading reviews from multiple websites before booking this property.

There was nothing, NOTHING, to like about this place. Terrible customer service, The bathroom sink, toilet, both were broken. Water leakage in shower. To top everything off, the key to main entrance of the building wasn't working to we were stuck outside, middle of the night, with no lights, waiting for someone to open the gate.. which took 27 minutes... pathetic customer service. I would not stay here even if they pay me to stay there.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Galaxy Apartments and would strongly advise others to avoid booking here. From the moment we arrived, it became clear that the apartment was not properly maintained or accurately represented. The sofa bed was broken and unusable, making the apartment unsuitable for the number of guests it was advertised to accommodate. Basic amenities that were expected and/or listed, such as shampoo and a sufficient supply of clean towels, were missing. To make matters worse, the living room table was unstable and rocked side to side, creating yet another safety concern. Due to these issues, we felt the apartment was not safe or comfortable to stay in and ultimately had to check out a full day early, disrupting our trip and forcing us to make alternative arrangements at additional cost and inconvenience. What made this experience even more frustrating was the complete lack of customer service afterward. We attempted to contact the property to request appropriate reimbursement for the significant issues we encountered, but our messages have largely gone unanswered. It is incredibly disappointing when a host fails to take responsibility or even communicate with guests after such a poor experience. Overall, this was one of the worst accommodation experiences we’ve had while traveling. Poor maintenance, missing amenities, safety concerns, and unresponsive management made this stay unacceptable. We cannot recommend this location, as it’s horrible.

WiFi did not work for 3 days. Need to get better pillows and mattresses. The shower is really small like 3 ft by 3 ft. No real air conditioning, just a portable A/C but my other room had a fan only. Housekeeping said they do not change out sheets during your stay, even though I tipped in advance before asking the sheets to be changed.

I booked this as I wanted a place with enough space for my family with laundry. There is NO laundry. This is false advertising. The place was a 5 min walk from the main area. There is construction right behind the building which I was not notified of. Jackhammers start at exactly 7am and last all day. There is no AC which we knew about but the 3 fans that were in the apartment barely move air. The sliding patio door in one of the bedrooms is broken so can’t open and it is like a sauna in there. The blinds let in as much light as possible. There is one electric plug per room. The leg of the kitchen table was broken so we couldn’t safely use the table. The shower curtain in the high bathtub didn’t work well. The shower head needs to be pointed directly down or else water floods the bathroom floor as you can tell by the rotten bottom of the bathroom door. There is no circulation in bathroom so the ceiling paint is peeling off. The patio is asphalt surface so you can’t sit outside without shoes on. I know Lucerne is expensive but book elsewhere!

Yes I could have booked a hotel closer or at city center but for more money $$$. The Galaxy apartment was actually about 15 - 20 minutes walking distance to city center or a 5 minute walk to the bus stop which dropped us off right in front of the train station. I must say that the there was no air conditioning and only a couple of vertical fans which really didn't help much considering Lucerne was experiencing a heat wave during our stay. I really hope they can invest in some split air conditioning system for future guests. Other than that, it was perfect for our two day stay.

No AC , That was the only problem we face.

While this property boasts a great location close to Chapel Bridge and a lovely 15-to-20-minute evening walk from the train station—the actual accommodations were below average. The space provides only the bare minimum and feels entirely uninviting. We found the floors to be wet and sticky upon arrival, the window curtains broken, and the Wi-Fi incredibly slow. The sofa bed was also broken and very uncomfortable to sleep on. Safety was our main concern: the kitchen handrail is broken, and the shower leaks water all over the bathroom floor, creating a major slipping hazard when trying to navigate the stairs in the dark at night. Lastly, since it was hot, we had to keep the windows open, but constant secondhand smoke from the neighbors made it difficult to get fresh air.

The wifi was very patchy , pretty much wasn't working . the life/elevator was too small . the flat was a bit run down

The apartment is as basic as it gets. More comparable to a youth hostel. On the positive it was fine to accommodate for a family of four and conveniently close to Chapel Bridge. However, the bed and bathroom are very basic. The bathroom needs updating as there was peeling paint on the ceiling and door. I Kitchen functional but basic. Only four bath towels provided. No hand towels. Elevator was broken on our exit where we had to carry luggage and bags for a family of four down five flights of stairs. If you’re only staying in Lucern for a day, it is fine. But more than a day, I would reconsider.

Great location. Easy to walk to shopping, train and bus. Check in smooth and property manager very helpful. We were able to drop off our luggage before check in. Nice space. Only negative was the bath tub was very slippery and slightly raised off the ground so you had to be very careful. No AC but that seems to be common in Europe. Fans were provided

A number of repairs needed: kitchen sink faucet, stuck bathroom door, door handle fell out, screens in the windows (bugs at night). Otherwise the location in Lucerne was good - a few blocks from the river. The outside of the building needs cleanup and a lighted entryway for guests to feel safer.

The property met all of our expectations.
