Royal Phawadee Village Patong

Upon arrival at reception we were told they were ugrading our room to a villa. The villa was wonderful, detached with its own terrace area in a quiet part of the resort. The breakfast was good, a chef will cook you eggs to order, was enough choice for us. The pool area was lovely, plenty of sun and shade to choose from and we always managed to get a couple of sunbeds in the afternoon. The gym was average, only three cardio machines, a few weight machines and dumbbells. No air con only wall mounted fans so it got hot very quickly in there, no towels were provided. Good location if you like patong, which unfortunate we didnt. The last time we were there was 15 years ago and it has changed so much. Mostly restaurants, very few bars away from bangla rd, which is so crowded it is impossible to have a nice time there.

One of the few remaining Lana style places in Patong. A treasure in the heart of Patong, a few steps to the beach and 5 minute walk to Bangala Rd. Lovely Staff and compliments to the gardens and ongoing minor renovation works. Is our 8th visit to Patong and 3rd to the Royal Phawadee and we will return.

The property was traditional Thai architecture. The village was beautiful. The rooms were huge and comfortable. The location was perfect. Close enough to the excitement but far enough to have a quiet sleep. I highly recommend.

Lovely traditional thai style architecture, beautiful tropical garden nice pool good breakast and very near the Beach - but a GBP 70 Room deposit with no prior warning at booking stage - and although I was given a nice Room upgrade - really noisy aircon and a basic fridge that went noisy unless the aircon was on.... Also Rooms at the front some outside noise at night .... So still really nice - but some things they should work on ...

We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it was very good so we wanted to repeat our good experience. This time the staff was totally unfriendly and the bad attitude started right at the check-in when they insisted to get 2000 baht deposit in cash in advance, (never in my life i was asked to put a cash deposit it was always in credit card), the room was old, neglected, paint cracked and dirty, we couldn’t sleep because of the amount of mosquitos flying and biting, the breakfast was poor, the milk we tried to use in our coffee was sour and the service at breakfast was unpleasant as if we are disturbing their time off, upon check-out we were asked to wait until the guy ran to our room and checked that we didn’t steal anything, this was very shaming and insulting. we will never go there again and will not recommend this hotel to any of our friends

The pool area was nice and restaurant ok. The room was very dark and everything old. The bathroom was awful, dirty with cracked tiles and mold. The shower was awful. The bedrooms were on a shared balcony so no privacy as people walking past looking in window so had to keep curtains closed . Breakfast was ok, but very little put out and we had to keep asking for fruit, cheese etc. the fridge was very old and rusty where chilled food was kept. The staff not helpful. The position of the hotel was good as it wasn’t far to walk to the beach or shops etc After staying 5 nights we would not return

Receptionist very rude , no cold water for shower . They tried to move me two night to other hotel

We really enjoyed the older style architecture of the buildings and the beautiful gardens. However, the staff and service were a huge let down. The staff were very unfriendly and acted as if any request for assistance was an inconvenience to them. This was particularly true of the manageress. Facilities also in need of serious attention. We barely had any hot water for showers despite numerous requests for assistance. The furniture in the bedroom is starting to break in places. There was a leak in our bedroom room. While Covid has had a huge impact on the hospitality industry, we felt there could have been more of an attempt from staff to make our stay more comfortable.

The room did not have a good smell at first. The AC help make it better. The AC need to be upgraded for the Deluxe room.

Great set up. I love the styling of place. The beach is only 5 minutes away, 7/11 just round the corner & Bangala rd less than 10 minutes. Plenty of choices for food , on site restaurant, or a food market just across the road.

Great location, 5 min walk to the beach. Beautiful traditional interior. Breakfast was average but day time menu was good and reasonably priced. Clean big rooms, great rate. Gym facility was good enough. Pool was lovely. Short 10 min walk to the shops, bars, restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had a awesome stay at Royal Phawadee! It’s like a beautiful Thai haven amidst the Patong craziness. We loved our room, deluxe suite with large balcony overlooking the pool. They even decorated our bed with flowers on our arrival for our anniversary which was lovely! Breakfast was great - buffet with quite a few options. Pool area is awesome, great pool for swimming and relaxing all day. Also just 2mins walk from the beach. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Phuket. Thanks for a great stay. 😀
