Our first trip to Thailand and Bangkok. Arrived late in the evening after day trip to Chiang Rai. Friendly and prompt checkin. Ordered room service and it was also promptly delivered (appreciated after long day). Excellent view of the river. Nice spacious room and bathroom. The next morning we enjoyed the buffet breakfast along the river. Excellent options and service. Then we had the hotel boat drop us at the pier on the other side of the river for our visits to the various temples (Wat Arun, Grand Palace and Wat Pho). After a full day of visiting temples, returned to The Peninsula before taking the hotel boat over to the ICONSIAM.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wish we had another day or two to enjoy the other amenities the hotel offers, such as the spa and pool. If we are able to return to Bangkok in the future, we would definitely stay at The Peninsula again.
My only drawback was the bed was quite firm. And although it was a king size bed, I’m 6’2” and found my feet hanging over the end of the bed. Very minor inconvenience.

I cannot express how amazing our stay at the Peninsula Bangkok was.
After a 12 hour flight & then sitting in horrendous traffic from the airport with our exhausted 3 year old, arriving at the Peninsula was exactly what we needed. The hotel is a tranquil escape from the city outside and the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and efficient at getting us checked in & settled in our amazing room.
There was a wedding taking place at the hotel that evening and about 10 minutes after entering our room, we were treated to the most amazing firework display from a boat on the river directly outside - our son was totally mesmarised!
The reception staff very kindly rebooked us at Thiptara as we had missed our original booking due to traffic. Sitting out by the river, eating amazing Thai food was a meal to remember and the lovely ladies also very kindly brought our son lots of cold towels and then took him for a walk around the grounds so we could have a few moments to enjoy the peace.
The next day, we spent some time relaxing by the beautiful pool and also made use of their free shuttle boat which was great.
I can honestly say that the service we received throughout our stay was the best we have experienced anywhere - exceptional service that all felt so genuine and discrete by every member of staff we encountered.
We very much hope to return to Bangkok soon and will absolutely be staying at the Peninsula when we do.

The welcoming staff was wonderful. Most amenities were good, except no upgrade offered. Breakfast buffet was very well done.
On the downside, the menu and food in the lobby restaurant were a disappointment.

Lovely and memorable stay, could not have been better. The view from the room was quite spectaular and the shuttle boats very enjoyable and practicle. Duck sausage for breakfast was a first and very good. I look forward to staying again in the future.

Good location to experience Bangkok. Right alongside river with regular ferries. Attractive hotel very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Reasonable pool. Food good with 2 nice restaurants. Our 2 nd stay here. Would recommend.
